Me too. I saw some Freepers here thinking the votes would be as high as 54 or 55. I think they momentarily forgot they are dealing with democrats and rinos.
The Reps have plenty of choices. Murkowski will never get the GOP nomination again. She won as a write-in in 2010 after Joe Miller beat her in the GOP primary.

Subsequent to that she said that she is concerned about Kavanaugh’s “temperament and partisanship.” I still maintain she will be a NO vote. I hope I’m wrong.
Maybe that is why Kavanaugh wrote his WP Op-ed today. It could have been negotiated as a condition for Collins' yes vote.
Gator if I were Mitch, I’d strip her of committee memberships and any leadership roles for the remainder of her term. He could also deny her of any any financial support and endorsements for future campaigns. She must be really compromised to do something this stupid in a red state.
