In almost forty years of broadcasting and writing, Ive spent a lot of time tracking the fates of the Republican and Democrat parties. In recent years, the main conservative thirsts have been for a more muscular and unapologetic conservatism and for the bright light of truth to be directed onto the darkest habits of modern leftists.
The election of Donald Trump has propelled us down a road featuring satisfying helpings of both. But on one stunning day, September 27, 2018, there arose Republican resolve like nothing in recent memory. The accompanying reputational suicide of several key Democrats tied a bow around a historic day for clarity.
The occasion was the totally unnecessary session of testimony by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his main accuser of sexual misbehavior, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. The occasion was needless because Dr. Fords story in no way rises to the level of credibility to dislodge the nomination.
No decent society smears people for life based on high school misbehavior, so even if the wholly unsupported story were true, there would have been a strong argument against its relevancy today.
As such, the rhythm became: five minutes of Ms. Mitchell poking through questions of fact and memory, interrupted by five minutes of Democrat grandstanding. Then five more minutes of Ms. Mitchell seeming to inch closer to a salient point, only to be buzzered by the need to recognize the next round of Democrat fawning and prattling.
..snip..
But as soon as Judge Kavanaugh completed his opening statement, it became clear what the afternoon matinee would contain: Republicans showing more spine than they have in years, accompanied by Democrats making total asses of themselves.

What youre saying is they set terms
Well see how this works out
I see porn lawyer is rolling yet another accusatory slut off the assembly line
They now have yet another week to destroy a fine man while our side caters with kindness
Thats just too Bush for me
None of this changes democrat minds or voters
My guess is that we wont see any more accusations.
The Dems already know that the credibly accused line didnt play well with a lot of voters.
Sorry, as we write they are bringing forward more accusations and twisted females making false charges. The demon rats are doing their father’s business ... you know, the father of lies a murderer from the start.
No, the Demons have more up their sleeves but this should get the three dumbasses in line. And they have to be careful of what they wish for.
Now any floor vote will be preceded by some amount of “debate” and who knows how long that takes?
My fantasies is that the Republicans should hammer the Demons with their hypocrisy and bring up Chappaquiddick and Clinton’s crimes along with Hitlery’s enabling of them through attacks on his victims.
Yes, I did hear him say that.
I also heard him say why he did that.
He’s a fairer man than Democrat men, wouldn’t you agree?
And yeah, Lindsey has done a lot of things to bother me.
Yesterday, he made me proud, so he’s going to get full credit from me.
i wish but I wouldnt bet that were I you
God bless you and get out the vote!!!!!!!!!!
sumbitches cannot leave well enough alone!
“Today insured a Republican sweep in November with expanded Senate and House majorities and a Trump victory in 2020. The Dems have been exposed.”
that’s my gut reaction as well ...
“I didnt watch much of Kavanaughs hearings, and I thought that the clips from the Fox interview showed him to be a bit timid.”
your complete misunderstanding of the power of Kavanaugh’s lengthy defense essay is why we always watch these critical events live from beginning to end. if we can’t watch live, then we DVR and then watch ... if that’s not possible for you, then go watch Kavanaugh’s complete statement on youtube ... his speech was powerful, compelling, and tear-inducing ...
Forgive me for butting in, but I think you've misread his statement, as I did at first as well. I'm pretty sure he's talking about Judge Kavanaugh's interview with Martha McCallum on Fox when indeed he was a bit timid.
Bookmark.
No, Kagen and Sotomayor view the Constitution as a canvas for their modern art. Take comfort in Lindsey's "fairness" when your 2nd Amendment gets painted over in rainbow colors.
Thank you. That is exactly what I was referring to - the Fox Interview, not the fiery performance in the Judiciary Committee ...
I’ll do that, man, when that happens.
That’s literally exactly what I am going to do before I do one single other thing at all.
I will “Take comfort in Lindsey’s “fairness”.
This. I. Vow.
ClintonFatigued actually made the argument to me at the time that we must vote for EVERY Republican Senator, no matter how liberal, because we CANNOT allow the Dems to get a majority. The EXCEPTION to this rule is South Carolina, we should all HOPE the Democrat wins to get rid of the cursed Lindsey Graham, EVEN if it means giving the RATs a majority.
I wonder if he still feels that way.
As I noted, Graham deserved valid criticism for stabbing us in the back, but pretending he was the worst RINO ever and to the left of Olympia Snowe was simply untrue.
This was an epic reveal of just what kind of degenerates populate the Democratic party. ************
Unfortunately, demoncrat voters are every bit as twisted as the people they vote for. Furthermore, they are stupid...they refuse to learn.
I honestly believe that it’s possible for Kav to have a temper. But his wife is content, and so are his girls, therefore, it doesn’t seem as though he’s abusive.
I hate that the corrupt demonrats are more concerned about their power than anything else. Life wreckers they are from the unborn to God’s very own. It’s sickening.
If any of them were the recipients of funding to hide their own misbehavior, I sure hope the FBI brings those things out for exposure. The rats want an unfettered investigation, let it begin with them.
“Forgive me for butting in, but I think you’ve misread his statement, as I did at first as well. I’m pretty sure he’s talking about Judge Kavanaugh’s interview with Martha McCallum on Fox when indeed he was a bit timid. “
ah. indeed THAT was a timid interview ...
