It turns out that Christine Blasey Ford actually isn’t “willing to do whatever it takes to get her story forth,” after all. Her preconditions for testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee include a demand for “a full investigation by law-enforcement officials” — specifically, the FBI. That’s completely outrageous. The committee should proceed as scheduled with next Monday’s hearing. If she shows, or makes arrangements to testify behind closed doors or to committee staffers, fine. If not, it’s time to vote.
Would an FBI investigation change her testimony? For that matter, would Democrats even accept a probe that — as with Anita Hill’s accusations against Clarence Thomas — couldn’t confirm her allegation?

Grassley gave Ford and her attorney until 10am Friday to notify them if she will testify on Mon. If that 10am deadline passes and she doesn’t respond then they need to go ahead and vote on Friday before the weekend.

To request the FBI investigate what MIGHT have happened at a teenage party 36 years ago where no actual crime was apparently committed and no one knows what might have happened even if something did happen leads to only one conclusion.

Assuming someone is telling the truth, they would tell the truth, regardless of what is happening with an investigation.
It’s all kicks and grins till you have to testify under oath. Then it’s no longer a one way street.

What is there to investigate. She tells a vague story, and he denied being there. Sounds like a 15 minute investigation which would be inconclusive.
Democrats are out for blood. They're hounding the FBI to find video of Kavanaugh in a compromising position.
Maybe they'll photoshop an image of Kavanaugh with a Playboy magazine?
The point of all of this was NOT to “prove” he actually did anything.
