How could anyone think it was a good idea to raise white students’ awareness of racial injustice through a group that excluded non-white students?
The University of Maryland is facing backlash over a social-justice training that will provide a “safe space,” for white students only, to learn about racial issues.
The controversy revolves around “White Awake,” which has been billed as a new “group for White students to talk about race.” A flyer advertising the group contained a series of questions: “Do you want to improve your ability to relate and connect with people different from yourself?” “Do you sometimes feel uncomfortable and confused before, during, or after interactions with racial and ethnic minorities?” “Do you want to become a better ally?”
The flyer further described the group as a place where white students could have a “safe space” in which “to explore their experiences, questions, reactions, and feelings” and “support and share feedback with each other as they learn more about themselves and how they can fit into a diverse world.”

Now that you mention it, with all the crazies running around, “safe place” for white students should be regarded as a “gun free” zone that somebody is going to use for target practice imo.
As a former Terripin, I can attest to the lunacy that pervades Maryland. It wafts through everything like the scents of days old fried onions and rotten fish.
Of course, it was just as bad during the Vietnam years, and got worse, much worse over time.

Catholics have long recognized the value of confession, but:
* they kept it private instead of a public declaration
Liberals want you to stand in the center of a “support group” and publicly admit your sins. Christians have mostly rejected this because of the risk of the person announcing their sins never being allowed to live it down. In short, the public act of confession means you’re never really forgiven by those around you.
* they assign collective guilt via original sin but allow for full redemption via baptism
With liberal bullies, you’ll at best be tolerated by “moral superiors”, never fully redeemed.
* they do not punish you for words and actions not INTENDED to be harmful ...
Christianity judges your actions and your thoughts, but with liberals your mistakes are treated as horrific sins while Christians forgive the mistakes.

I’m going to exclude original sin at this point. Christianity says each person is individually responsible for your actions, plus the taint you inherit. But the child isn’t guilty for the parents’ sins, hence the “don’t kill the innocent child conceived via rape” and don’t abuse the child whose parents committed a crime.
Liberal bullies are demanding collective guilt for specific groups because of the crimes associated (or not) with their ancestors. They blame all whites for race-based slavery, whether your ancestors owned slaves or not. They blame all men for patriarchy. And there’s no collective redemption, either.
Social justice is laying the groundwork for a caste-system akin to Hinduism. Whites are the untouchables, the evil incarnate and lowest level because they’re born such sinners. It is also similar to Shariah law - convert to the “true faith” of social justice, and you’ll rise up the structure, but not as much as if you were officially of an oppressed demographic.
The roles do get reversed in terms of gender, where Sharia says the woman is worth half a man in court and inheritance but liberals would assign them twice the weight.
Most of those in the group were white middle-aged or senior citizens, and probably all were college-educated, but during the discussion, many, if not most, expressed feelings of shame and remorse for being white because of the past treatment of Indians, blacks, East Asians, etc.
I hope that after November, Trump works on popping the massive debt-fed education-industrial complex bubble. Its been decades in the making, and is creating a generation of students who are debt slaves, costing taxpayers billions, while in turn funding a rapid leftist base, and creating a class of leftist-crony elites.
The issue is on a tee, waiting for a conservative politician to hit it out of the park.

I never used to think about race - I grew up admiring Dr. King and believing what he believed. I have since learned better. Based on observed behaviors I would not want to be anything other than an American Caucasian. The rest can pound sand.
