Abrams needs to be very, very careful about what she says. The foundations presumably are engaged in "independent expenditures." To be legal, these can't be coordinated with, or directed by, a candidate. They must be truly independent, or at least have enough of a fig leaf to support plausible deniability of coordination. Abrams should have said simply that while she was grateful for the support of the foundations, she was not involved in their direction and has no knowledge of their donors.

Confidentiality is important. The left often engages in systematic harassment, intimidation and retaliation of conservative donors. Businesses are targeted. People lose jobs. There's a good reason conservatives need to defend the confidentiality of such donations.

More than likely, the donations are being made by other foundations outside the country and outside audit capabilities of the Feds. That is how the Clinton Foundation works.

You don’t really need to know who the donor(s) were. It should be enough by itself that you received millions of dollars and wont disclose who you benefactor is. The opposition ad-campaigns for this are an easy homerun.

The IRS illegally outed the Firefox founder’s donation to the prop8 campaign in California and got him ousted.

The IRS has stated that the biggest tax frauds and money launders occur by one tax-exempt writing a check to another tax-exempt foundation.

The recipient keeps a percentage then deposits the bulk of the donation into an offshore account for the donor’s use later.

Mansour backed by Soros is behind many of these races. Here in my little town Mansour had a woman running from the women’s march for mosquito control for crying out loud. She got that and now is looking at county commissioner .

One needs to look at Mansour and her funding.

This is how DEMS launder money....in Oregon, the unions give to a “Foundation”...Named something like “Working for a better Oregon”...you can see the monthly donations by the various IBEUs, etc....then the Foundation gives it to the Democratic Party, (or another Foundation) who then spreads it around to DEM candidates, with a check for $500 given to the occasional GOP candidate.

Yes, on the Guidestar website all 990s are available to the public for free.

I pulled and reviewed the Clinton Foundation 990... what a bunch of crap asking for an audit. They used so many foreign non-profits as shells to h li de transactions it was somewhat worthless.

“More than likely, the donations are being made by other foundations outside the country and outside audit capabilities of the Feds. That is how the Clinton Foundation works.”

Exactly. I pulled copies of their tax returns and reviewed them. As a CPA who has audited and prepared many large nonprofit returns, I can say the Clinton Foundation return is a sham.

They should apply the same foreign bank account regulations they did on Manafort and the Clinton’s would be toast.

Well, it wasn’t ‘White Boy Rick’, but was one of his competitors in the drug trades.

I did all the bookkeeping for a local 501 group. We were meticulous with every penny & with receipts for every penny we spent on office supplies, etc.

Since I am a life long bookkeeping/accounting person, I often bought paper & printer cartridges for the group, but was careful to note what was mine & what as NOT mine. I used MY personal printer for 3 years, but they bought the cartridges & paper.

We had a CPA audit our books annually. NO question from her at all. Got complimented on our records-—which were all done by hand.

Why no software/computer setup? Because the treasurer was an elected position & was passed from me to 2 others over 4 years. We all did NOT have the same computers or software. MY accounting computer was purchased with the software in Nov 1991, and it is a DOS system. My software doesn’t work on other members computers. It still works well enough for me—after almost 28 years. Dac Easy Accounting system.
