In a three way race? Don't count him out, especially if he continues to caucus with the Republicans and support them legislatively. All going independent would do would allow him to bad-mouth Trump more than he already does.

I feel the same way Sasse does, and his admonishing of the entire Congress for abdicating its role as legislator was right on. He’s not abandoning conservative principles, he’s saying he’s disgusted with those in charge of the party. I am a conservative - “my” party increasingly is not. It’s a party of incumbency.

He reminds me of my neighbor who would come over about every 6 months and tell me he was going to sue me for something he was unhappy about. I finally told him to quit bothering me and just sue me.

Lot of bad mouthing the guy on this thread, but his opening speech in the Kavanaugh hearings was a most thoughtful analysis of what is wrong with how our gov’t operates today. Long as he supports Trump on his agenda 87% of the time, I’m hard pressed to condemn him.
What can we do to help him make that decision?
