Ivanka emerges as Trump’s jobs czar, focus on ‘forgotten men and women’
Washington Examiner ^ | September 3,2018 | Paul Bedard

“She spent two years on the campaign and heard first hand how people felt like they were the forgotten man or woman and how nobody was looking out for them. That really resonated with her,” said the official.

Now, as the nation celebrates the 136th Labor Day, Ivanka is the face of the administration’s effort to boost jobs training, tighten the focus on computers and high-tech in schools and make vocational education just as cool as a Princeton degree.

“She would meet moms who wanted to support their family but didn’t either have a skill set or wanted to go back into the workforce and weren’t sure how, weren't sure how to find a job. She met dads who wanted to earn wages where they could support their family but didn’t have the right skills,” said a senior administration official.

The first daughter also heard from highly educated friends in the same boat. She recently cited pals who graduated from Princeton University with “no skills to actually compete in the workforce.”

Ivanka, said Marc Short, the former White House top lobbyist, has made jobs and worker training “a priority.”

Along the way, according to officials, she has also developed close working relationships with key lawmakers and moved on other passions, such as her campaign to combat human trafficking.

“She has proven to be adroit at Washington politics, which is saying lots for someone not from here. She has an ability to congregate the right people around the table to get things accomplished,” added a friend of Ivanka’s.

The administration’s efforts seem to be working. Hiring is up, more firms are offering apprenticeships, and schools around the country are putting more money into computer and high-tech classes.

A poor choice since she favors amnesty. I think the starting point for any pro-US workers is no amnesty, implement eVerify, end H1B and other visa programs that replace US workers.

Yes, but a young Carole Lombard can play her as the heiress searching for the “forgotten man”.

Apparently she is as - if not more - liberal than any RINO out there.

I have a ‘creepy’ feeling that she will be so ‘exhilarated’ by her political experience that she will pull an HRC and ‘dip a toe in the water’ and end up running for the Senate from NY as a D.

Then going on and making a run at the Presidency.

(if successful) That would make the TRUMP family the first Presidents from the same family in DIFFERENT parties. (And as ‘loyal’ as Dad is, he would probably finance it...<: <: <:)

Barf alert
A very poor choice and Trumps persistent weakness
Trying to keep this liberal bimbo relevant
She needs to go home
To NYC

How many men does she help with her endless “women’s empowerment” projects and family leave bills?

Before she begins, Ivanka NEEDS to read, ‘The Forgotten Man’ by Amity Shlaes. (Yes, that is spelled correctly!)

Hell, we ALL need to read it again, or for the first time. It’s about the Crash and the Depression from a Conservative point of view and how so much of that misery could have been avoided.

Reads like a novel. Very engaging and you’ll be spittin’ mad when you’re done with it. I was. :)

Before Ivanka gets too involved insuch searching for ‘the common man’, etc., I suggest she do a deep survey of that phones & TV’s these people have.

The cannot get themselves MORE education, but they can spend thousands on a larger TV, and the power to run it.

Also spend hundreds on ‘phones’ that they cannot put down.

Many people can take ON LINE classes now, something I couldn’t do in the late 60’s & early 70’s. I hd to put my butt into the seat 2 nights a week in night classes-—for 4 years to get all the accounting classes I could get.

Much easier today to get more education.

But-—I heard another person complain just this weekend about how hard it was to get ANY employee under the age of 35 to actually WORK. He said you cannot get them away from their sell phones & they act mystified when they get told they CANNOT use their phones during work hours.

She is only for the “forgotten” illegal.
You can’t be for American workers
and be an amnesty pimp too.
It would be much better if Javanka
went back to NY.
If Trump needs her council
he can call her on the phone.

Kushner has some skills as a negotiator
He worked the Mexican deal and is involved in the Palestinian - Israel deadlock
Keep Jared as he is low-key and actually producing
Send the princess back to manage her own business and socialize with Chelsea Clinton and Jamie Gorelick

Package deal. I voted for Trump and family in the primaries and knew that he had some liberals in his circle and they would stay.

This Trump Presidency, there sure are a lot of folks who think nothing is getting done, and Evanka and Jared are the reason why.

Obsession, it’s not just a perfume.

... and schools around the country are putting more money into computer and high-tech classes.

Not necessarily the best way to go. Computers seem so high-glamor but the money is often wasted on getting people to use computers rather than on how to build them. By build, I mean making the electronic components and improving them. Money would be better spent on machining skills, chemistry, bio-mechanics, robotics and such. Something more in demand than simply typing away on a computer. Most school administrators and teachers don't have a clue how to deploy the money to give employable skills.

Why can’t you just go raise your kids Ivanka? Do you have to get involved trying to muck your Dad’s presidency up? I’ve heard you speak. You’re no conservative at all. so stay out of it.
