McConnell: Senate will stay until 12 Trump judges approved

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Thursday that the Senate will stay in session this month until it approves a dozen more Trump judicial picks and four other executive branch nominees.

The Kentucky Republican laid out the schedule after setting up votes to defeat Democratic filibusters on all 16 nominees.

“No more obstruction, no more delays. It’s time to confirm them all,” Mr. McConnell said. “The Senate will continue to work right through August until every single one of them is confirmed.”

That appeared to be a warning to senators who were hoping for another summer break.

Mr. McConnell already canceled much of the usual August vacation to keep senators in town to work on spending bills and on nominations. Some on Capitol Hill had hoped he would relent and allow a final week’s vacation, but that appears unlikely given the schedule of votes he laid out.

Good for him, then!

McConnell * occasionally * acts like he’s on our side.
Ryan is another story.

Follow the money behind Ryan and you will get an explanation as to why he doesn’t care.

McConnell has temporarily found his cajones.

Remember Harry Reid had the Senate in session on Christmas Eve 2009, to vote on Obamacare.

These Democrats have no right to bitch about this schedule .

HEAR! HEAR!

Way to show the loud mouth New Yorker who runs the Senate!

Sick and tired of Schumer running his mouth, issuing threats and smearing President Trump.

Past time for Schumer to learn he’s the MINORITY leader.

Kavanaugh will be voted on likely end of September, early October. McConnell is talking about the nominees already on the floor.

Bump to 13, as in Mueller’s 13 Angry Democrats.

Like in Lord of the Rings, nine walkers (the fellowship of the Ring) against nine riders (the Black Riders).

I’ll give Myrtle credit where it’s due, he’s been very good about judicial confirmations or lack thereof (Merrick Garland). It’s possible a lot of stuff he gets blamed for are just a result of things beyond his control, like a razor thin majority and more than a few Trump hating RINOs.

McConnell has been great on pushing through Trump judges. That for me is tantamount.

Just recess the Senate so Trump can move ALL his picks in.

The trouble with recess appointments, is that they are just temporary. They still have to be voted on and confirmed by the Senate eventually.

Yea. Ever since those harrassers went after him and his wife, he’s been less RINO.
