Red-state Democrats are embracing one of Obamacares most popular provisions to help them win re-election in November.
Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota unveiled ads this week slamming GOP opponents for trying to gut Obamacares protections for people with pre-existing illnesses, such as diabetes or cancer. Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., did the same in a Twitter video.
Each of the candidates is seizing on actions by congressional Republicans and the Trump administration to unravel Obamacare. But instead of highlighting the law in general, they are centering on its rules obligating insurers to cover people with pre-existing illnesses, without charging them more than healthier customers.
The protections have consistently polled as one of the most popular parts of Obamacare, even though more comprehensive coverage has contributed to higher premiums for healthier people.

Of course, they highlight the benefits, but they don’t say that it has cost everyone else HUGE increases in premiums and in deductibles. This is a smart, deceptive strategy by Dems.
Welfare exists for pre existing medical conditions. That is what you chose.

Republicans own healthcare now.
