Cardinal Burke: ‘Very Grave Problem of Homosexual Culture in the Church

Cardinal Raymond Burke has called for “open recognition” of the Catholic church’s homosexual culture in light of recent revelations of sexual abuse. “I believe that there needs to be an open recognition that we have a very grave problem of a homosexual culture in the Church,” Burke said in an interview Thursday, “especially among the clergy and the hierarchy, that needs to be addressed honestly and efficaciously.”

he former head of the church’s equivalent of the Supreme Court said it was already “clear after the studies following the 2002 sexual abuse crisis that most of the acts of abuse were in fact homosexual acts committed with adolescent young men.”

“There was a studied attempt to either overlook or to deny this,” he said, referring to the mainstream media cover-up of the homosexual nature of the abuse as well as such denial within the church itself.

It doesn’t follow. We are saved by grace alone, which gives us faith and it gives us ability to do works of love, as Matthew 25:31-46, shorter version in Romans 2:6-10, explains.

***

You DO realize that ‘works of love’ are works of the law, right? Considering how Jesus put the commands ‘love the Lord your God’ and ‘love your neighbor’ as the highest commands in the law, RIGHT?

You’re preaching an accursed gospel of works if you insist that ‘works of love’ are necessary for salvation, and if you believe that your ‘works of love’ really earn you salvation, that’s a one-way ticket to Hell.

I swear, the more I read about Catholic theology, the more I see how diabolically clever it is in its goals to undermine the Gospel.

Claim to be saved by grace, but define grace as being allowed to become good enough to get salvation. You’re not justified by your works, but you have to get yourself justified by OTHER works that aren’t works of the Law, as if God’s teaching could be just dismissed.

And if you ever realize that you CAN’T be perfect and holy like the Lord is, that’s okay! You don’t have to depend only on God’s grace and not your works to save you, you get to spend time in Purgatory instead and that’ll MAKE you good enough! And if you buy some indulgences, oh, excuse me, DONATE for some indulgences, you’ll get some extra merit from the saints so you DON’T have to spend the whole time in Purgatory getting good enough!

Every last word claims to worship Jesus and then points at anything and everything OTHER than him.

It’s utterly disgusting.

.........

Paul says of the one preaching the false Gospel, “let *him* be accursed.”

“him”

That appears to carry instruction for us on this thread.

All we can do is warn them.

Adsum, flee this false pagan gospel before you are accursed!
