More like Disunite the Country than Unite the Right. It was a false flag, packed with caricatures. I feel terrible for all the people who were fooled by it and for those who in turn were hurt by those fooled people. “Unite the Right” deserves to be pilloried.
And yet, we should look at why it would have been easy for Unite the Right to fool so many. A general godlessness seems to be at the root of it. Even more mainstream concepts of Right are still often quite individualistic, with blame to the failures for not being self-actualizing enough. Whereas the Left would assign the village to raise the child, and blame the village for every failure. The truth is somewhere in between those things.
Exactly. Obama-voting, Occupy Wall Street-supporting Leftist Jason Kessler rallied together David Duke, Richard Spencer, and a gaggle of goose-stepping Nazi retards, gave them MAGA ballcaps to wear and said, "You guys can represent the "typical" Trump voters in the play that's about to happen!"
Fortunately, it appears this year cooler heads are prevailing. Last I heard, only about two dozen "racist Trump supporters" showed up.
Proud Boys, much to their credit, said they wouldn't be anywhere near this embarrassing spectacle.
It’s 100% astroturf theater orchestrated by the left to smear their opponents as racist.
