Mom: Dad wanted to perform exorcism on missing boy (Update: Child's Body found at NM compound)

TAOS – The mother of a disabled boy whose disappearance led to a law enforcement raid at a remote, ramshackle compound north of Taos last week told police in Georgia that the boy’s father wanted to perform an exorcism on the child.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit filed in Taos, the woman said Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 39, one of five adults now charged after the Friday raid, believed “the child is possessed by the devil” and that he intended to deny the boy his medication.

... the whereabouts of Abdul-Ghani Wahhaj, 4, who was allegedly abducted by Siraj Ibn Wahhaj in Clayton County, Ga., last December, is still unknown.

The boy, whose fourth birthday was Monday, reportedly suffers from serious medical issues, including seizures, and developmental and cognitive delays, and had suffered brain damage at birth that left him walking with a limp.

Siraj Ibn Wahhaj is reportedly the son of Siraj Wahhaj, a prominent imam at the Masjid At-Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Siraj Wahhaj, the imam, was tied to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. A U.S. attorney in 1995 listed him as among 170 “unindicted persons who may be alleged as co-conspirators” in the bombing.

Taos County Sheriff Jerry Hogrefe described the site as “the ugliest, filthiest living conditions” he had ever seen. ... the children had likely not eaten in days.

A cache of weapons and ammunition was also found at the compound. Wahhaj, the father of the missing boy, was armed with an AR-15-style rifle and was in possession of five loaded 30-round magazines and four loaded pistols, including one in his pocket, when he was “taken down,” according to a statement from Sheriff Hogrefe.

Officials: Child’s body found at Taos County compound

Law enforcement officials disclosed at a news conference this afternoon that a body of a child has been found at a compound north of Taos that was raided last week.
Officers were looking for Abdul-Ghani Wahhaj, 4, who was allegedly abducted by his father Siraj Ibn Wahhaj in Clayton County, Ga. in December.
The body was found Monday, officials said at the Taos news conference.

One or more of them will be charged either with murder or at a minimum child abuse resulting in death. NM already has at least two other cases pending where adults have killed children (not toddlers, children 10-13 years old).

Is this that same story printed a few days back with the three mothers, the two men and a group of children, all Muslim, Black, starving and dirty? Everytime that story is reported, it is as though occurring from a different city or state. I’ve seen New Mexico, New Jersey, and now Taos County, wherever that is. Bottom line is , I’m glad the kids have been found and removed from the custody of those particular adults.

Yes, the warrant that allowed the raid was from a Georgia county 30-40 miles from here. The New Jersey confusion was from a Yahoo headline that said New Jersey instead of New Mexico. Don’t know there they got that, autocomplete I guess.

Bottom line is , I’m glad the kids have been found and removed from the custody of those particular adults.

“Overall, this is readily identifiable and hazardous with extremely filthy living conditions which greatly resemble that of what would be considered ‘third world country in nature’ with odorous trash everywhere, no clean water, no electricity, no plumbing/sewer, and the children were not clean, without shoes and without proper hygiene, and rags of clothing,” according to the sheriff’s office affidavit. It went on to say that the children had likely not eaten in days.

Yesterday's article detailed the location of the compound on the Colorado border at 8,470 feet elevation as one of the coldest locations in the continental US. It is in the southernmost portion of the San Luis valley 40 miles south of Alamosa. In winter that city commonly has the coldest low temperature in the US. With those conditions and the wind and the cold beginning in September, those children would have surely died if they had not been rescued.

One more note, their “compound” (better called just a campsite) is only eight miles from a closed downhill ski area, Ski Rio, showing again the danger the kids were in as autumn approached.

The missing boy’s father is an imam in a well-known radical mosque in NYC and was an “unindicted co-conspirator” in 9/11. However, I’m not sure whether he was from a Muslim background or if he was a black convert.

I remember all the “communes” that sprang up around Taos back in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Fifteen years later I read they all had been abandoned except ONE that followed the koran.

I have been concerned that little boy would be found dead when he was not among the children CYFD took from the site.

This is pretty horrific. I don’t watch TV but friends said there has been nothing except on ALBQ channels until this morning FOX news covered it, then others did but only FOX said the men were Muslim extremists.

So our media did not want us to know; doesn’t surprise me I knew they covered up this sort of thing but this is pretty obvious. Now the MSM is saying they were like “lone wolf” types but one was at least under suspicion of having a part in 9/11. That does not sound lone wolf to me, sounds pretty hard core.
