I’ve met quite a few Hispanic immigrants who are vehement Trump supporters.
It amazes me that the political press is never called out for the obvious racism behind quotes such as this one from an article yesterday on NBCNews.com: “But that’s only if Democrats can get their message to Hispanics and persuade them that their vote can help change policies that impact their lives, in areas such as health policy or immigration.” Why would one presume “immigration” affects the life of a Hispanic voter? “Hey, you look Mexican. Vote for me because I love illegal immigrants like you.”

It was very good, and worth seeing.
It’s partisan, of course, a bit much for my taste only because it allows the MSM to discredit it or “factcheck” it.
And all these years the Bush League Republicans have been telling US we had to give away the country with amnesty to get Hispanic votes.
WTF???!!! TRUMP has solidified his Republican support, killed off the #NeverTRUMP movement + HUGE support with Blacks & Hispanics & he is only at 50%???!!!
I've heard that and small wonder. the illegals have tainted the American perception of any Hispanic immigrant.
I sure as heck would not want everyone thinking I was an illegal when I got my citizenship the right way.
This bodes well for the midterms.
I think a lot of the support Trump is lacking is the squishy evangelical Christians. You know, the kind that sound like Joe Besser, “Not so hard!” after one of the President’s particularly piquant tweets.
Many of my fellow churchies won’t support any candidate who supports their agenda unless his name is “Jesus Christ.” Thing is, the Lord is not on the ballot. He uses flawed people to accomplish His purposes in a flawed world. In their zeal to obey Romans 13, the Evangelsquishies rush to either support or turn a blind eye to Clinton, Obama or whoever is fighting to destroy Christianity. I guess since they figure that Paul wrote it during Nero’s reign, then the only leaders God uses are monsters and apostates.
They might as well be playing for the opposition. At least it would be semi-honest of them.

My guess is evangelicals are among Trump’s strongest supporters.
I work with 2x former Mexicans who are now US Citizens. You would not believe how pissed off they get about this. Go through a legal port of entry, fill out the paperwork, make your way through the established system and process, learn English. Just like they did. In fact I kind of don’t like the subject to come up because once they get started it’s tough to stop.
I used to work with a Mexican girl whose father used to yell at her for speaking Spanish.
“No, no, NO! You are in America. You are an American now. You MUST speak English!”
That was the attitude of my 9legal) immigrant grandparents.
At home they spoke the mother tongue, but around Americans and out in public, it was English, no matter how difficult it was.
It was both pride and courtesy.
They were in American and Americans, and they didn’t want someone to think they were talking about them behind their backs.
That was class from a bunch of dirt poor peasant farmers.
Of course they do. They want to make America great just like all good people.
