All designed to give government more control and extort more taxes.

The time scales do seem too short to infer much more than “noise” in the variations we see now. And massive CO2 content in the air is nothing new to this globe.

90 degrees, a remarkable figure given that Sodankyla is 59 miles north of the Arctic Circle

Don't they get temperatures like these in the central Yukon and Alaska?

Like the site they chose in Finland (in the middle of the Kola Peninsula), there's no big water (ocean) around to moderate the temperatures, and in July the sun shines 24-7 (literally), day after day.

Of course it's gonna be freaking hot!!

Califirnia is a detriment to America. By allowing the state to burn, and then burn, and then burn some more, the California government is polluting the country with the fire generated partculates and green house gasses.

Here in Tennessee we need to sue California for inducing the heat wave resultant from all the continuous burning of the countryside.

I actually am open to believing in some extent of AGW. I just dont think there is anything we can do about it, just have to deal with what comes.

The particulates from forest fires might be a factor in damping down temperature spikes.

Summer here in the Washington-Baltimore region has been uneventful, temperature-wise. Some hot and humid days, some mild days. We had a day in the 70s last week. I don’t remember a single 100+ day so far.

Yeah...if you don’t pay them extra trillions in tax dollars, they won’t save you from nothing.

A high pressure system plants itself over most of the Country and we’re all gonna die. Got it.

Has nothing to do with Mankind, but why rely on facts.

Record highs frequently pop up in many areas. What’s happening with averages and record lows? The furor sounds one-sided.

On average... Worldwide temperatures are average,

Confucius.

“This is a hot, strange and dangerous summer across the planet.”

The only things strange are the achmucks who wrote this dreck.

Meanwhile, it’s a temperate 75 in Minneapolis at the end of July, when it’s typically nearer 100 and humid as a sauna. This summer has been unusually mild.

Even IF (which I don’t believe) global warming is related to human activity, the left has politicized it with so much hysteria and intimidation that the chance of it being taken seriously is nil. Their delivery has completely discredited their message, which is their typical approach to everything.

If you look at sea temps you’ll will see that they have plummeted. NOAA had predicted they would be high this year, wrong again. Artic ice is higher then the norm for this time of year. There’s record cold in Australia, NZ, Brazil, Peru, Greenland, Hudson Bay area and the next 60 days in the eastern 2/3 of the US is expected to be below normal. For a different world view visit Ice Age Now, it shows a very different view of the world. I see a little cherry pickin’ going on here.

Well, between the fires near Yosemite and the one in Redding, they’re wreaking havoc with the air quality in Reno for damn sure.
