The History Channel’s fictional drama Six provides a darker, more nuanced look into the personal and professional lives of SEAL Team Six operators. Although the show clearly displays the SEALs expertly using weapons in the field, there seems to be one place the show won’t accept them: in the home. In the dangerous world the show paints for us, the fact that they don’t want homeowners armed is even scarier.
After former SEAL Team leader Rip was murdered by a terrorist on American soil in the season 2 premiere, Jackie (Nadine Velazquez) fears that her their family could be targeted next. In the episode "Dua," that aired on June 6, she tells her husband Ricky (Juan Pablo Raba), a SEAL Team member, that she wants a gun.
Ricky doesn't like the idea and patronizingly dismisses her fears, claiming that a gun would only make her a danger to herself and others. Although the audience knows that SEALs and their families are in actual danger, Ricky "promises" they'll be safe without a gun.

Even ‘Blue Bloods’ will sneak in such a reference from time to time: We’re cops, so you can bet we’re armed. But you threatened civilians, best not to get a gun.

Now, hold on, maybe this is a plot point to show that they were not safe. Maybe a terrorist finds them next week kills or injures some, and only a passerby, the proverbial good guy with a gun, saves them.

Hmmmm. It may be addressed in a future episode. They seem to be so “with it” when it comes to social issues.

The so-called History Channel has been a joke for years. They stopped showing actual history in favor of cheap entertainment shows. When they do show something that covers a historical subject it is always very slanted and aimed at a level suitable for 10 year old boys - ie really dumbed down. It’s pathetic.

Well, in defense of BB, the series "is" supposed to take place in New York City. The amazing thing is that the propaganda isn't even worse.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but in the Video of the Las Vegas Cop shooting through the Patrol Car Windshield, the Cop fumbled reloading his Weapon.
He almost tried to put the new Magazine in backwards which cost valuable time. Of course he was under pressure at the time, but every second counts.
I guess I’m just being nitpicky.
They have been slipping anti-gun and anti-hunting statements into TV scripts since 1969.
NOW, if they claim TV scripts do not influence their audience, why do they do it.
