This is breaking news. No details. There is an ongoing revolt in the British Conservative Party over what is perceived as a cave in the the EU on Brexit. The Brexit minister also just resigned. Since May's government is holding onto power by their fingernails this could lead to a vote of confidence.

No, you wouldn’t. Take a look at the British expat forums on line. It is full of left-wing Brits, living in America, some of them citizens, and they hate America. Absolutely hate Trump and admit they are only here for the money. Keep them out!

Sounds like they want their cake and eat it too..or one foot in and one foot out of Brexit with the EU.

The proposals they supposedly agreed on would be like Americans voting for something the republicans put forward then letting the democrats make the policies to make it happen......only in this case yielding control to EU Brussels.

It is ALL about Brexit.
May has been at best slow-walking it, at worst standing in the way of it.

So is her non-Brexit Brexit.

If the Tories don’t catch the populist wind they’ll be toast too.

I’ve been to the UK a couple of times. And I know and have met Brit ex-pats. Law-abiding, talented, hard-working Brits would make a great addition to this country. Folks who want to become US citizens, mind you. My ancestors certainly did. :-)

I really think Trump oughta fire up the brain drain. The UK’s loss will be our gain.

Theresa May is a lot more like Merkel than Thatcher.

May is a completely ineffective, frankly horrid leader. As bad as Obama was. It is fitting she destroys her own government by her own perfidy. Good riddance to her.

"Theresa May is a lot more like Merkel than Thatcher."

YES!!

Theresa May was a compromise from the very beginning and had to tread lightly (publicly) to move the Brexit process forward when her heart was never in it. But behind the scenes May and Merkel were thick as thieves and delaying and hoping for a resolution well short of the interests of the voters.

---------------

The resignation of Boris is the classic signal that a confidence vote is in the works. And the vocal opposition to May will hopefully give them a prime minister that will implement the Brexit vote with the UK citizens best interests in mind instead of this "turd" as Boris Johnson has described it.

Boris wimped out the last time he could have taken out May for the party leadership.

“So they end up with Corbyn and Diane Abbott in power? Jesus. That’s a disaster.”

Maybe the UK needs a disaster to get the Brexit back on track.

The question should dissolve the Parliament as England’s government has violated their Constitution. Englishmen are petitioning the Queen.
