New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy approved legislation Tuesday that will permit transgender individuals to legally alter the sex that is recorded on birth and death certificates.
The law Murphy signed demands that New Jersey’s Registrar of Vital Statistics provide an amended birth certificate to transgender individuals and no longer requires them to provide documentation of sex reassignment surgery.
"Today is an important day for New Jersey as we continue to strive toward equality for all of our residents, regardless of sex or gender expression," Murphy, a Democrat, said in statement. "Allowing vital records to match gender identity is an important step forward that will allow transgender individuals to control the disclosure of their transgender status.”

Easy fix...don’t accept proof of identity from anyone born in Jersey. Include jobs, schools, drivers’ license, etc.
All this does is permit the state to promote mental illness

And why not? Jersey is a paradise - a veritable Utopia - so why shouldn’t he focus on smaller, personal issues such as these?
My futurecast is that eventually birth certificates will be accompanied by, or linked to, genomic data. Maybe in 20 years or so.
Then you can call yourself what ever you like, but the reality will always be, “it is what it is.”
Changing birth certificates isn’t new. Hawaii did a great job with BHO’s.

Why is he allowing for the adulteration of public documents?
Doctors cannot change the way they treat just because you identify as another sex.
If Obama can alter his birth certificate, then trannies should be able to as well.
Why would surgical mutilation affect a legal document like a birth certificate?
I mean, the problem here is the state collaborating in a delusion. What "proof" of the delusion the state requires in order to collaborate in it is unimportant.
If the State of New Jersey were willing to recognize me as a fish, for example - would you really be upset that they issued a ruling that I did not have to show them my gills?
What a pile of crap! Everyone is born with 1 sex (with few exceptions). PERIOD!! I won’t argue that some people may be gay but for most IT IS ALL IN THERE HEAD and it is all about being special and SO much better than any straight person. In the words of Bugs Bunny, “What a bunch of maroons!”
Making Birth certificates useless ?

Why not just extend that to arrest and conviction records; immigration records; tax records etc. That way we can all just say whom or what we are and what we want our background to be. Note to self: never consider hiring anyone who claims they were born in NJ.
