A SENIOR Republican figure has given an extraordinary insight into the complicated mind of Donald Trump and his daily battles with the media and detractors as well as the clever way he is playing them to his advantage.
Dr Jan Halper-Hayes, a former Vice President of Republicans Overseas, and a member of Mr Trumps transition team, believes people werent connecting the dots around his presidency.
First you have to listen to him. People take him literally and then they pounce on the moment [of controversy] But Mr Trump is consistently inconsistent and predictably unpredictable and he told us, during the primary season, that was how it was going to be.
Dr Halper-Hayes described to a London audience this week a moment in the early days of his presidency. It was during a meeting of the transition team and one of Trumps staff was speaking to him about a problem that had arisen.
The other side, a group of senators, werent budging.
And he said to him, Tell them Im going crazy, tell them Im out of control. Im telling you, he plays the media He plays the media [and] he is so smart how he does it.
She pointed to the wall-to-wall coverage he got from the very start of his campaign, well before he captured the Republican nomination.
Give him some credit and connect the dots. You will realise he is no fool and he really does understand whats going on.
Dr Halper-Hayes said Mr Trump had been quite visionary during interviews over the past three decades, and had been speaking about how to deal with North Korea since the 1990s. In a much earlier interview, in 1980...

No bias at least.
Now read the whole article.
That would be the Rats.
“To the crooked (perverse) God shows Himself crooked (astute).”
Hmm, why is she saying this now?
Thanks!!
Scheming is what criminals do.
Strategy is what Commanders and Chiefs do.
Its what I have observed. Trump knows how to fight and win
And what a great story at the end
“Now read the whole article.”
Good article - thanks for the post.
Thanks, Knarf.
Thanks.
Exactly what I was thinking. It’s two years in and they’re still too stupid to read his books.
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet. He boasted a little, early in the campaign, said that no one had seen his level of generating publicity. He wasn't kidding.
Hell ... we fall asleep reading anyway, may as well fall asleep LISTENING.
Favorite Trump Story as told by his Friend Phil Ruffin who owns the Treasure Island Casino.
When Donald Trump owned The Trump Princess Yacht, he wanted the Bank to lower the Interest Rate on his Loan.
Phil went with him to talk to the Bankers. At the Meeting the Bankers wouldn’t budge, so Trump stands up, pulls the Keys out of his Pocket, throws them on the Table and tells them, you own it.
He gets up and tells Phil let’s go. Just then, the Bankers run up to Trump and tell him to come back in and talk.
Trump ends up getting the Interest Rate on the Loan reduced.
As they leave the meeting, Phil asks Trump what was he thinking? Trump says, good thing they called us back in or we would be walking home, those were the my Car keys.
Phil told the story at one of Trump’s early Rally’s in Las Vegas at Phil’s Hotel.
Great article, I could really understand how President Trump control the media and the narrative of the news cycle. Just brilliant.
