WASHINGTON — President Trump said Friday two women are on his short list as the next Supreme Court nominee and he’ll announce his decision July 9.

On his way to Bedminster, NJ, the president told reporters aboard Air Force One that he plans to interview one or two candidates this weekend.

“I’ve got it narrowed to about five,” Trump said, including two women.

Utah Sen. Mike Lee was on the list.

“He said he’d like the job, usually they don’t say that,” Trump said.

I’m perfectly OK with him appointing the great Constitutional attorney Ann Coulter

As for Ms. Palin, she needs to be elected President after Trump, so he can forego her. Just because she isn’t an attorney means nothing; they put Kagan and Sotomayor on that court, and neither of them were anything but political hacks.

No women please. The other 3 leftists on the bench can too easily sway one leftward.

O’Connor, Ginsburg, Kagan, and Sotomayer have all been horrible.

In this type of situation doesn’t Trump usually mention the person he’s NOT going to pick when talking to the press?

I read somewhere that he voted for McMuffin in the general. If so, he wanted Hillary appointing judges right now. He should not be allowed anywhere near the SC. His record of supporting Trump has been good lately; let’s keep him there, but keep that SC option open to keep him honest, and to get him to keep Romney in line.

That would make sense if he can find a good conservative woman judge. Then replace Ginsberg with a man to lower the estrogen back down.

I'm not making a swipe at women (disclosure), but history has proven it. Sandra Day-O still sticks in my craw to this day.

Moreover, I hate to see DJT wade out into the scum-covered pool of identity politics. Everyone else should hate it too.

Exactly, if it is not one of their own, they will bitch and moan but if it were BO making the selection, they would give her glowing reviews.

I guarantee they would go after anyone against abortion.
That’s their biggest leverage.

I didn’t know Lee voted for McMuffin. What a POS. Trump should pull a Romney on him. Interview him, tell him he is #1 on the list and then tell him to F off.

97.43% life time American Conservative Union rating.

I will forgive Lee for being a moron about Trump since he is on our side on everything else.

As long as this person is pro-life. If he a put an abortion supporter on the bench, that’s the only thing that would make me sit at home in the midterms.

I think if he selected a woman, it will be difficult for the Dems.

You give them too much credit for consistency. They didn't like Condi Rice back in the day, did they?

Awesome, a government that runs smooth, like it is supposed to, and the silly Celebs of Hollywood, are OUT OF THE LOOP, and want to derail the process. Oh...please.
