Ya got me. :-)
Seriously,it was the land-owner thing.
My mother was an immigrant who never owned property-—she became a citizen——and would NEVER miss voting. She had to walk to the polls, did it in any type of weather, and loved this country.
She made certain my brother and I did the same thing when we were old enough to vote.

Well, I think she’s going to own it. I hope she has some savings.
As Americans we have rights and as a business owner she has the right to refuse service but with freedom comes responsibility so be careful when you use them and only if you are ready for repercussions that might ensue. I would never eat at that restaurant because of their rudeness. And I read earlier that Trump won the county the restaurant is located in with 62%. I imagine business is going to slow down...a lot.
See post #41 for an explanation. From #41:
In most cases, refusal of service is warranted where a customers presence in the restaurant detracts from the safety, welfare, and well-being of other patrons and the restaurant itself.
All she has to say in court is that her rabid leftist clientele might riot if they knew a Trump supporter was in the restaurant.
I support her right to throw Sanders out, and I support a conservative restaurant owner's right to throw Democrats out. In both cases, the restaurant owners should have to live with the consequences. In this particular case, I hope she is run out of business.
I also think that, in general, public accommodations laws should be modified to apply ONLY in cases of true emergency.
>Ms. Wilkinson, because of your fake moral outrage mixed in >with your stupidity I give your little eatery less than 6 >months to close the doors forever. I will pray for that very >thing to happen. Enough of this leftist crap!!!
If lack of windows doesn’t do it in first, would be a shame if it got Kristallnacht’d because of politics. There seems to be an abundance of them
She better hope the Dems in her town keep her in business.
Her husband is a professor at VMI

If ownership was a prerequisite, anyone like your mother who was willing to walk to the voting booth in any type of weather would have found a way to buy property.
So, instead of ownership perhaps next time we should require all voters to walk n miles to the polls. Thanks, isn't brainstorming fun?
Have a nice weekend.
But, apparently not many of them in Lexington.
“.... His research focuses on ethics and the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein. .”
So he’s beery swine!
I wonder if he did a post-doc at Walamlaya University, Walamayla OZ?
I suggest any Freepers in that restaurants area to walk in sit down place a big order, drink a glass of water, and about time for the food to be ready tell the waiter that you just realized you are not at Chik-Fil-A and walk out.
Not 26 tables, she said 27 seats. That’s pretty tiny. Going to be interesting to see what happens.
I’ve always assumed Sanders was her married name...so she made a reservation in her name. I’ve used my husband’s name for 25 years, I would find it super odd if someone said I signed something or made a reservation with my husband’s name. Just thinking that was a bogus point in the article. If she had use her father’s name, would they have refused the reservation?
How’d the donkey get stuck in her butt?
i only eat at Chinese restaurantes, They are interested in buisness not politics
Take scalps! It’s American tradition.
I wonder how far 620 Stonewall St, Lexington, VA 24450 is from her restaurant?
