A majority of voters blame the parents of the separated children at the southwestern border for the current immigration crisis, not the federal government, according to a new poll.
“When families are arrested and separated after attempting to enter the United States illegally, 54 percent of likely U.S. voters say the parents are more to blame for breaking the law,” says a Rasmussen Reports survey released Thursday.
Rasmussen found 35 percent believe the federal government is more to blame for enforcing the law, while 11 percent are not sure about the situation.
“A closer look shows that 82 percent of Republicans and 56 percent of voters not affiliated with either major political party feel the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. But 60 percent of Democrats say the government is more to blame for enforcing the law,” the poll said.
Among all voters, 49 percent say the administration is “too aggressive” in its efforts to stop illegal immigration, a view shared by 23 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents and 75 percent of Democrats.
Still, a quarter of all voters say those efforts are not aggressive enough, while 21 percent view the administration’s policies as about right.

Yep. Just think - if the results were 51% blaming border patrol, or Trump, GOP, climate change, racism, etc., it would be broadcast far and wide.
I wrote a small blurb about this a few days ago, about how little these parents must care for their children to put them on top of a train, for a journey of 1,000+ miles across Mexico, armed with birth control and a phone number.
I obviously love my kids much, much, more than they do, as I would never allow mine to embark on such a dangerous, and unknown, journey.
These people are obviously salivating over American welfare and food stamps to risk the lives of their children like that.
Cut off all their “bennies”, and watch them disappear.

Of course, as soon I am writing this, CNN, MSNBC, the NYT, etc. are busy busy crafting their own push polls.
But this is horrid news for the left. This says to me that given the choice between the usual heart string crisis crap that the media pushes, in this case by using children, and securing our borders, the American People have chosen securing the border.

I find it absolutely unbelievable and cruel that a parent would send a child thousand of miles from their home with a coyote or human smuggler to Illegally enter the United States. Young girls take birth control pills because most are raped on their journey. Perhaps the young boys are also raped.
The “children” are then left in the hot desert to be rescued by our Border Patrol or somehow make their way illegally into the U.S. Who is footing the bill for this invasion?
Our American Government under many administration takes care of these kids providing them with lodging, food, medical care, education and otherwise meets their needs. It is a shame American kids are not treated as well. President Trump wants to change the illegal immigration policies but Democrats and some Republicans want the status quo. It is an unfair burden to place on American citizens.
I want these invaders to be sent back ASAP. .
