Zimmer had a decent house voting record as did and the West Point guy, Dawkins was acceptable.
Case was the last gop(e) senator I believe.
Hugin should just attack Menandez . PERIOD
Another McCain type probably. NJ is worthless.
No, I mean Republican lite. There are some Conservatives in NJ but not many. There are lots of Ind. though and some of them lean right.
That’s how Christie was elected.
he will lose.
A “different kind of Republican?”
Is that code for “Democrat?”
Christie was elected because his opponent was too crooked even for New Jersey.
Right and if you will note that NJ frequently elects Rep Gov because every time the give into their sickness of being liberal and elect one of their own it always turns out the same way (tax increases and scandals), so they throw them out and again elect Rep, only to wind up hating them because they are Republican. Then they once again...well, you get the idea.
A liberal Republican stands no chance in NJ.
Never Trumper Robert. Hugin is going to lose and to lose.big.
Left-wing Democrat runs as Republican. Film at 11.
(and you wonder why NJ Republicans keep losing)
Not in CA.
In the states jungle primary this month, a pro-Trump conservative Republican placed second.
And he wants Trump to campaign for him in a Deep Blue State.
He might not win but Cox unlike Hugin - is giving the voters a real choice and a real race.
Democrat Gavin Newsom isnt going to encounter a liberal Democrat who pretends to be a Republican.
Hugin thinks fooling NJ voters were will earn him their respect; instead it will earn him their contempt.
Why does NJ need a Never Trumper liberal RINO when it can get the same thing in liberal Never Trumper Democrat Bob Menendez, is never quite explained.
“..”a different kind of Republican,”...”
IOW, a complete asshat democrat pretending to be a Republican.
Glad I could clear that up...
Is he trying to lose?
Maybe it would be easier to ask where he agrees with Trump?
Well it is New Jersey so this might fly there!
In a state with over 60% Democrats, Menendez only has a 22% favor-ability rating.
Dem lite might be a winner in that situation.
Don’t bet on it.
I like Hugin’s odds in this race...competence over corruption.
In New Jersey?
Lol...you might have a point.
Here is why Hugin can and maybe will win: New Jersey is California East so attacking Trump is not a bad idea for a Republican who hopes to turn New Jersey voter disgust into votes: Like it or not, it should be clear that Republicans running as conservatives in New Jersey do not win. The ones who do (with a few exceptions at the House level) always lose and the margins get bigger. Regardless of what anyone thinks Menendez is the absolute most corrupt Democrat to come along in a long time - probably including Torricelli.
The first poll out shows Hugin, on the strength of a few weeks of tv spots, was at 24%. Of course this sounds very low and you might be thinking “Well he’s done,” but that 24% puts him only 4 points ( MOE?) behind Menendez with an unheard of FORTY SIX PERCENT “Undecided.” For a sitting United States Senator from a solid Blue State to be at 28% with 46% undecided in June while running for a third term is serious very serious trouble. The FORTY SIX PERCENT saying they are undecided are NOT UNDECIDED. They just can’t bring themselves to say out loud that they are not going to knowingly vote in a thief like Menendez.
New Jersey is a state that is 15% Black and Blacks are drifting away from the Democrats. Trump is a run away train the Democrats have no answer for. Hugin has his own ethics problems but he is self funded and will eventually get Trump’s endorsement. Menendez might pull this one out but there is no reason, at this point, to automatically say he will. Hugin is not a guy most Freepers would vote for but New Jersey is not Freeper territory, so don’t laugh and count him out just yet. Remember there are Democrats who are not even on the radar here in mid June with no issues to run on, who will lose on Election Day.
Menendez could very well be one of them.
