Fox News host Tucker Carlson is being criticized for telling his viewers on Friday night that they should distrust news reports from the big news stations.
If you're looking to understand what's actually happening in this country, always assume the opposite of whatever they're telling you on the big news stations, Carlson said, despite Fox News sitting on top of the cable news ratings for 197 consecutive months.
His comments led some to poke fun at his apparent contradiction and to also note the damage such comments can have on the public trust in journalism.
CNNs Brian Stelter called the comments "sad," while Michael Barbaro at The New York Times called them repugnant and literally damaging to our democracy.

1. I like Carlson.
2. Fox is often a bit”over the top,” for my tastes. (Hannity more so)
3.
Tucker is right. After ALL the big news stations when out and knowingly LIED about the DOJ IG report within minutes of it’s release, they are proven politically corrupt and hopelessly compromised as credible sources.
Tucker Carlson and Lou Dobbs are “must watches” in our home! I like the fact that Dobbs doesn’t bother with lefties on his show, but it’s fun to watch Tucker eviscerate worthless turds like Cong. Eric Swallowell and other feckless Leftist idiots like the guy last night who pepper-sprayed himself in an anti-gun political commercial. Really good political comedy!
The @FakeNews liars are the ones criticizing him. LOL
