No evidence has emerged, however, that the informant was used to spy on the campaign for political purposes.

Except for the use of the informant as part of the justification for the FISA warrants wiretapping Trump associates, which lead to the unmasking of non-targeted individuals by Susan Rice, and the subsequent leaking of those conversations with names to the press.

And on another point, the difference between a spy and an informant.

An informant tells investigators what s/he knows. A spy gathers information to tell investigators.

Stefan Halper was going from campaign aide to campaign aide, asking probing questions. That is the modus operandi of a spy, not an informant.

The Media is the Deep State.

Yes and no. If Fox News was truly deep state, they’d be a mirror of MSNBC and CNN and shows like Tucker, Hannity, Levin, Jeanine Pirro and Laura Ingraham wouldn’t be on (not to mention “Fox and Friends,” which is generally favorable to the President).

Of course, they try to be “fair and balanced” be allowing Little Shep and The Judge to spout their nonsense - as well as giving airtime to Lindsay Graham anytime he wants it (anyone see the connection here? I sure do).

The judge seems half loaded every time I’ve seen him.

You forgot “with a simian hairline” but that’s just cruel.

Just don’t compare him to “Planet Of The Apes.” That tends to rub people the wrong way.

I sense a full court press by the Swampers in an effort to thwart the firing of Mueller after Horowitz releases his IG report.

There will nothing in the soon-to-be-released Horowitz report having to do with Mueller or Spygate.

This report is on the Hillary Clinton email investigation, and that's all. No Mueller, no Spygate.

Mueller's job is safe until he indicts someone who challenges the indictment based on the constitutional violation Mueller's appointment by Rosenstein was. And it was, and is, a constitutional violation.

Several years ago I heard the good judge make some statement that someone was going to jail in the Obama administration for some misbehavior and that this lawyer did this or that because it was a sure thing. When the person did not go to jail, or even get in trouble, I started paying attention to how many times the good judge is right about his analysis.

The bottom line is that the good judge has a track record on par with Dick Morris ... not very good.

So when the judge gives his opinion, my stance is "I'll believe it when I see it ..."

It is surprising what you uncover when you start draining the DC Swamp.

I didn’t expect Napolitano to try to cover for this. Rubio and Gowdy also seem to have come out recently, to throw themselves on the grenade that is the upcoming IG Report.

It could just be that long term tools are being exposed for what they were, or that otherwise good folks are getting pressured or fooled, but it does seem like a deeper layer of defense is being triggered.

The same kind of baseless claim as the White House was “wiretapped” when they were just having their “data intercepted”

Spy vs informant?

Distinctions without a difference.

Fox News’s Napolitano: Trump’s ‘Spygate’ claims are ‘baseless’

I heard him say that, and then go on to say that there WAS a spy in the Trump campaign. Just what kind of judge was he?

Many years ago, Napolitano hosted a talk show called “Brian and the Judge”. For a short while, it played in my local market.

Being a new “conservative” talk show, I decided to listen in. Not too far into the program, a young AA man (yes, I could tell by his accent he was AA) called in and went on a lengthy, viscous diatribe against conservatives like many of us FReepers. The usual stuff… we’re all racists, we hate women, poor people, the environment, etc., all the while wanting tax cuts for the rich. Not once did Napolitano jump in to defend us conservatives. When the liberal finished his merciless attack, the Judge responded with (paraphrasing here) “this young man has a lot of wisdom and we conservatives need to listen to what he has to say. And now it’s time for a commercial break”.

I was so disgusted with his limp wristed attitude that I turned the radio dial and never listened to his program again. Not surprisingly, Brian and the Judge did not stay on the air very long.

Since then, I have never trusted this Napolitano guy. I automatically skip over his Town Hall columns. He bends over backward to accommodate the Left. He is either a Useful Idiot or a Deep State Operative. Both stink, and I’m getting sick to death of them all.

If you do not tell the campaign of the informants presence he is then a spy. Very simple.

Judge Nap has not been the same since he was suspended - he’s been compromised.

Napolitano is a LOUD, POMPOUS BLOWHARD who presents himself as a Constitutional Scholar.
He is not. He is a former New Jersey Judge.

REAL constitutional lawyers like Giuliani, DeGenova, Dershowitz, Toensing, Mark Levine, etc. disagree with him often including on this subject.
Obnoxious loud blowhard.

All true. I think he is well meaning but in over his head.

My congresscritter was busted for sending nasty pictures of himself over the Internet. I think they had the goods on him because about the time this was going on his voting record became more liberal. The Deep State has the goods on all of them.

It seems to me Napolitano and Gowdy have teamed up to make these ridiculous claims.

Napolitano is a useless tool of the perversely addled, libtard-twisted, Trump-hating Murdoch kids. They will run this network into the ground if allowed their way, and there isn't much in their way.

The Judge has been turned, and it's damn ugly.
