Fox News's Andrew Napolitano said late Tuesday there is “no evidence” to support President Trump’s “Spygate” theory that the FBI planted spies during his 2016 presidential campaign.
Napolitano, the news network's senior judicial analyst, said on "The Story With Martha MacCallum" that Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, is making a “baseless” claim.
“The allegations by Mayor Giuliani over the weekend, which would lead to us believe that the Trump people think that the FBI had an undercover agent who inveigled his way into the campaign and was there as a spy on the campaign, seem to be baseless,” Napolitano said.
There is no evidence for that whatsoever, he added.
Giuliani suggested on Sunday that former President Obama and his top intelligence officials “knew” that the FBI had used a top-secret informant to allegedly spy on Trump’s campaign.
The FBI did use an informant, identified in media reports as American professor Stefan Halper, who met with three Trump campaign advisers in 2016 — George Papadopoulos, Carter Page and Sam Clovis.
No evidence has emerged, however, that the informant was used to spy on the campaign for political purposes.

I trust our president. He has his own intelligence operatives. And if says there were spies on his campaign, I believe him. Just because the spies were organized from MI5/MI6 in London to circumvent US law, doesn’t make it any less nefarious.
Anyone with an ounce of honesty and half a functioning brain knows the Mueller “investigation” has one purpose... to damage Trump politically, isolate him and separate him from his supporters. And Clapper has essentially confessed to the spying.
So one can speculate... what does Mueller have on the Judge and Gowdy??? A sexgate perhaps? One wonders???

Interesting that this judge and the execrable, ineffective Trey Gowdy publicly turned to their hyena faces after Brennan came out publicly with his odious threat, and a clear threat it was, against McConnell and Ryan.
Judge Nap seems like a smart likeable person. He is wrong a lot of the time.
Clapper is just a liar.
An informant could be placed in or around the campaign to see what if anything is going on with the Russians. Halper was not gathering information. He was deliberately planting false information within the campaign to later impugn the campaign with the very information he planted. Halper was a willful idiot.....anyone would be for what Obama admin paid him.
Planting lies for nefarious means is what spies do. Is Halper a spy, no. Was he used like a spy, of course.
And just when is that so called IG REPORT coming out?
Why do these reports take forever? making sure the cover up is legit?

Let me put it another way. If Donald Trump had never run for the office of President, would they have assigned an 'informant' to him ?
