Illegal pot grows spread deadly pesticides, other hazards, despite change in law
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | May 29, 2018 | Peter Fimrite

The legalization of cannabis in California has done almost nothing to halt illegal marijuana growing by Mexican drug cartels, which are laying bare large swaths of national forest in California, poisoning wildlife, and siphoning precious water out of creeks and rivers, U.S. Attorney McGregor Scott said Tuesday.

Well, no kidding geniuses. You thought that by legalizing weed it would make the illegal growers and sellers go away?

They continue their operation, undercut the legal trade and pay no taxes. Not unlike bootleggers who continued to operate even after prohibition ended.

They went nowhere when you and the other idiot dem states legalized it. They will grow, and it’s all your fault you democrat idiots.

no law is effective as long as aliens can run wild, protected by the state

They are selling it to the new potheads.

Legalizing activities increases the number of people engaging in those activities.

“California’s regime loves illegals and marijuana, so why complain about this?”

They love tax revenue even more. Gotta keep their slight of hand brand of Socialism alive long enough to “get” there’s.

Some cartels are expanding into meth also.

In the late 20th century, Spain legalized the use of drugs but not the sale. It turned into a nightmare. Demand went through the roof and the only way to buy and sell was illegally so organized crime became king.

"...A few plants should last a semi-normal person years...."

Speak for your self, FRiend.

I go through a plant a week, at least, but my plants tend to be small.

Thus, constant throughput is key.

Oh, and PS: I never, ever put pesticide on a pot plant. That is completely and wholly anathema.

I had a moth infestation recently. They lay eggs that hatch into tiny green inchworms, which then eat the leaves. I sealed up the room and killed them with dry ice.

"...Yes. Here in Texas we get our pot the old-fashioned way. Tax free direct from Mexico....'

I was told it is a bag of seeds that may have a little pot in it somewhere. It's really poor.

Interestingly, if you grow Mexican seeds to high American standards, it turns out really good. The floral and fruity notes are impressive.

Liquor bootlegging is a miniscule operation - because alcohol is legal under the laws of all 50 states. Marijuana remains illegal in 42 states.

“If you smoke pot you will get brain damage even without the pesticides.”

100% pure fallacy.

“Plus lung cancer and a lot of other things.”

You could get lung cancer from smoking anything long term. ‘other things’? LOL!!!
