San Francisco Is Such A Dirty Dump The Tourism Industry Is Begging The City To Do Something
Natural News ^ | May 28, 2018 | Jayson Veley

If what radical leftists and environmentalists say about conservatives is true - that they don’t care about the environment and that they are polluting the entire world - then it would seem that more conservative areas of the country like Texas and the Midwest would essentially be gigantic trash heaps. On the contrary, following that same logic, areas of the country that are controlled by leftists should be clean as a whistle. Why, then, are tourists currently begging the liberal city of San Francisco to clean up their streets?

It's true - San Francisco is quickly turning into a dump, with people injecting themselves with drugs in broad daylight, tent camps and garbage lining the sidewalks, petty theft running rampant and even human feces scattered across the city.

"The streets are filthy. There's trash everywhere. It's disgusting," argued Joe D'Alessandro, president of S.F. Travel, the city's visitors’ bureau. “I’ve never seen any other city like this - the homelessness, dirty streets, drug use on the streets, smash-and-grabs. How can it be? How can it have gotten to this point?"

It's worth noting that Joe D'Alessandro's job is to essentially promote San Francisco for the purpose of bringing in tourists, so the fact that he is openly speaking about how bad the city has gotten in terms of garbage and homelessness is truly telling.

"We can’t be quiet anymore," D'Alessandro continued. "We've got such a glorious history, such a beautiful setting, and the fact is, we’re letting it all slip away into this quality of life now that is not good for anybody. We've become complacent, and I think we’ve taken this as a kind of new normal, and it's not. It'’s wrong, and we have to do something about it."

In San Francisco, the last Republican mayor was George Christopher in 1964 ...

Interesting. The last time I visited S.F. was about 1970. At the time, everyone was impressed how clean the city was and there were flowers growing everywhere.

True that. AND, at the last meeting of the areas mental healthcare orgs, my wife, who works at one, said that the estimate is that there are about 3 million of these people who have homicidal trends.

So all it takes is something to push them over the edge and they go out and kill-they want attention and will do anything to get it, no matter what kind, as long as its attention.

Here is a fact. The Giffords shooters family had called the local police several times and they did nothing but talk to him. The FL school shooter had been reported to the authorities several times and they did nothing. The LAW SAYS, that these people can be taken in for a 72 hour mental evaluation. AND THEY DID NOTHING.

When the photo came up of the Giffords shooter my wife in and instant said that he was paranoid (grand delusions) with homicidal trends. He was smiling because he got attention and in his mind he was famous and proud of it.

Step One, re-elect Nancy Pelosi.

Step Two, expect a different outcome.

We actually were there last month for an overnight visit. Guess you’d say we were mostly in the financial district but took a walk to the Ferry Bldg. and over to Little Italy. We were pretty shocked as we didn’t see the homeless in great numbers. Probably less than a handful.

That being said, when we used to stay for a week it got disgusting for all that the article stated. We had to be there for Semicon.

Now, a even funnier story. In five months homeless have invaded San Jose area. We walk on a path, Coyote Trail. It has signs posted for no camping and other laws. Well, in five months the homeless have put up tents in the bushes and built quite nice ones from the construction sites of three office buildings on the other side of the trail. It is not a trail to walk for a peaceful morning seeing the mountains and sights. You have to be on guard for homeless that appear drugged....very sad...but the state allows.
Santa Cruz is even worse.

I thought the shuttering of asylums started well before Reagan.

There is absolutely nothing humane about leaving those people who are genuinely mentally ill to fend for themselves on the streets. As always, the ACLU has it completely, totally wrong.

No question, a lot of institutions were snake pits, but reforms could have been instituted.

The runoff in the storm sewers is polluting the San Francisco Bay and endangering the marine life

Gosh, Joe, I don't know. It's a mystery. Maybe they're all war refugees. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I have always said San Francisco was full of “S”.

Now it’s overflowing on their streets.

But for the lack of one good man...

All around Market Street and Powell Street ( fancy stores and pricey hotels )you find filthy homeless passed out, stumbling around blathering. Pee, poop, barf, needles and dirty underwear laying on the sidewalks. Some times the sidewalks are wet from hosing or mist and you can't tell me people aren't tracking diseases and whatnot into the restaurants, stores and hotels. The cops just drive around watching like everyone else.

We really need to push California out. Perhaps the sane areas of the state can secede and remain part of the US but that strip from north of Orange County to the northern border of Oakland has got to go.

The City has been headed down this path since at least the 1980s and it’s now reaching the start of the Dystopian end game

People are starting to wake up to the disaster but the politicians who are driving this and benefiting from the decline are so entrenched it will be almost impossible to remove them from office
