Why not appoint a ‘Special Council’ to investigate? Why throw it all on the Inspector General who has no real authority, can’t charge anybody with any crimes and can only make recommendations?
Why is the IG investigating the Clinton matter at all? Why do we not have a ‘Special Council’ for the Clinton email cover-up? A ‘Special Council’ who can charge Podesta and others with crimes, force Clinton associates to hire lawyers and spend all their money on court fees and force them into testifying about possible Clinton crimes?
The IG department is a fine way to cover-up and dismiss matters that a ‘Special Council’ would likely bring to court and resolve with judges and juries, instead of ‘recommendations’ and suggestions.

Well, maybe, except for one thing: Nobody listens to civilians. They don’t have any influence. He’s asking as President, and that’s why RR feels the need to say something in a few hours on a Sunday. IMHO, of course.
Really. We want a partisan Trump supporter to investigate the Obama Justice Department. Really. Staff this new Independent Counsel’s office with Trump people. Vetted ones.

Just one more big delaying tactic. There should have been a Special Counsel appointed, during 2017, to investigate all suspect matters in the FBI and the DOJ. Nothing the IG does or any of Sessions special appointees serve as the counterweight needed to the out of control Mueller witch hunt.
