The Senate Intelligence Committee has determined that the intelligence community was correct in assessing that Russia meddled in the 2016 U.S. election with the aim of helping then-candidate Donald Trump, contradicting findings House Republicans reached last month.

“Our staff concluded that the [intelligence community’s] conclusions were accurate and on point,” the panel’s vice chairman, Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-Va.), said Wednesday in a joint statement with Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), its chairman. “The Russian effort was extensive, sophisticated, and ordered by President Putin himself for the purpose of helping Donald Trump and hurting Hillary Clinton,” Warner continued.

Like every analyst and pundit, the Russians probably imagined Hillary was a shoe-in.

Well, if you look at the committee, I’d say that everyone on it, except for Tom Cotton, hates the President with a passion. So, if anyone thinks that they’re going to let him skate, is dreaming. But, I’d really like to see the evidence.

Good chance that when people start dissecting this report, they’re going to be able to tear it apart and make these people look even more foolish and stupid than they already are.

From Wikipedia:

On July 20, 2016, during his re-election campaign, Burr announced that, should he win that year’s election, which he eventually did, he would not seek re-election to a fourth term in 2022.

So he’s a lame duck with nothing to lose going NEVER TRUMP.

SCUMBAGGERY.

They can say all they want. But in the official documentation used to justify the FISA warrant, there is NOTHING.

Nothing.

They can bloviate all they want, which is what they are good at doing, but the fact remains that fake info was disseminated through unofficial channels as the rationale for the warrant, backed up by a news article talking about the fake information. And that is it.

THAT is an obstacle they won't be able to explain away.

Now they just need a little evidence showing that. That’s how it works, right? First you assume, then you find the evidence matching your assumption.

“The Russian effort was extensive, sophisticated, and ordered by President Putin himself for the purpose of helping Donald Trump and hurting Hillary Clinton,”

And I suspect they are making up the part about Putin's direct connection but it doesn't matter.

British MI6 and their contractors were actively assisting Brennan in entrapment and efforts to enlist the little minions associated with the Trump campaign early in 2016, long before their was an official probe into Russian entanglements. That is CIA paid Halper and others actively involved in espionage against one political party in a presidential election.

It defies logic and common sense. Trump is wrecking the Russian economy. I don’t believe Putin wanted that.

Last week Trump was given the option to release documents that proved a mole in his campaign, he chose not to ( it might upset the intelligence community), so, today he gets the knife. When you don’t fight back, Donald, they step on you.

Slamming Hillary (assuming that the Russians really did this) was meant to weaken her leading up to her victory, which the Russians and a lot of other people took as a given. “Helping” Trump was their way to stick it to her majesty.

“Russia favored Trump in 2016, Senate panel says, breaking with House GOP”

If this is true, where was President Obama and his national security team?

It is time for the former president and other high administrative officials to come clean on why they allowed this to happen and to assure the American people it wasn't just for the purpose of preventing the first woman president.
