New York Democrat Linda Rosenthal introduced legislation to ban shooting sports from New York schools Friday, claiming the sports “spread gun culture.”
If the legislation is passed, high school shooting teams, including air rifle and even archery clubs, would be disbanded, Time magazine reported on Thursday. These programs can lead to violence, Rosenthal claimed, citing the Parkland shooter’s involvement in the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) program before executing his mass killing.
“Schools should not be supporting the spread of gun culture in society,” Rosenthal told reporters. “If parents want their children to have shooting instruction, there are opportunities that have nothing to do with the school.”

There are a lot of guns in this country, but that doesn’t mean we live in a “gun culture.” In most places, it’s rare to see a gun in public unless it’s being carried by law enforcement. A would bet that the vast majority of guns in this country are never used at all.
What we need to ban is “democrats” because they spread stupidity and moronism.

Rosenthal is utterly full of sh&t. Here lady, IIRC, one of the ROTC kids at that school died trying to save lives during that horrible tragedy (unlike the corrupt and cowardly sheriff and his deputies). Also, tell me why were there no incidents involving kids running amok with guns in schools in the days of when rifle shooting clubs were that much more common and when kids even brought guns to school so they could go hunting early before or later after school?
While NY is at it, ban Hollywood shows/movies where gun and physical violence are depicted.
Add to that young black men.
I wish, they do more damage to the USA than even our worst foreign enemies have ever done. There is absolutely nothing of benefit that comes from this party, it’s like living with a plague you can’t get rid of. If Trump could rid the country of this disease by somehow convincing people to vote them out of existence he will have done more good for the entire world than any other person in human history with the exception of our Lord and savio Jesus Christ himself.
How about we just ban Liberals because Liberalism is a mental disease?

In TX, we’re doing away with gun sports and going to fishing sports for high schools. Sure, it takes real skill to drop a hook into the water. Hey, mom, I lettered in fishing! That’ll look real good on a college application.
Hmmm...since NYC schools are a breeding ground for young progressives, maybe that’s not such a bad thing...don’t need an armed enemy at our backs.
