.Republican Fears About Holding The Senate Start To Sink In
NPR ^ | May 7, 2018

.Democrats are going into the 2018 elections with the wind at their backs, which could even be enough to flip a Senate map heavily stacked for Republicans come November.

In conversations with several top GOP strategists, nearly all conceded that the overwhelming Democratic enthusiasm they're facing this November is incredibly worrisome. Most still think it's a better than even chance that they do keep the Senate — albeit narrowly — but it's no longer out of the realm of possibility that the upper chamber could change hands, especially given the volatility of the GOP's two-seat majority.

I stopped taking NPR seriously quite a while ago.

And my understanding is the the GOP is flush with cash, while the D’s are practically broke.

I never understand why Republican “strategists” always run to hostile media outlets to whine.

There are 35 seats up in 2018, of which 26 are held by Democrats. ....................

Wishful thinking. Trump hate and amnesty for illegals is not gonna move the masses to vote for Dems!

There’s virtually no more real cash flow from the DNC down. They spent most of the reserves on getting Jones into the Senate (Alabama).

Presently, I think the GOP will take four Senate seats....and win the Flake/Corker seats.

House-wise...I can see the Democrats maybe winning five GOP seats. Beyond that....nothing else.

If they had settled on a clear message in the spring of 2017....gotten Hillary to leave the platform, and gone to donors....the party would be flush with cash and enthusiasm. This whole election is solely about getting some advantage for impeachment. What kind of national party theme is that? What’s in it for the middle-class guy? Lousy political theme, and they should have figured that out.

Nonsense. Talking to McCain campaign” stateliest” is the same as talking to a Democrat party propaganda bot. You take nothing they say serious.

Dems have to deafen 26 Senate while the GOP only has 9. 5 very at risk Democrats Seantors are in states Trump won.

Dems are in a serious hurt position and likely to lose Senate seats this year.

I’m very impressed by NPR’s “concern” for the Republican’s electoral prospects. . .

The calendar favors the GOP so much that even the Bush League Republicans can’t throw the election.

It would be easy enough to generate CONSERVATIVE enthusiasm. All Mitch and the Rinos need do is to pass conservative measures and quit being the whipping boys for the Left and their overlords in the media.
