It will go to Kim to humiliate President Trump.

He should turn it down.

I respectfully disagree. The left would be overjoyed if he did that. The media would be screaming that "it's a slap in the face to the all of the nations of the world who cherish peace and hold this award in such high esteem." Conversely, if he does win, it's a story that the media can't ignore. The sight of President Trump accepting the Nobel Peace Prize will drive the left absolutely nuts.(It will also look great in his campaign commercials in 2020.)

DJT has a better chance of being named the grand mullah of Mecca.

That said, it would be better if he worked on a few of his campaign promises

Ending NK's Nuclear Program was one of his many campaign promises. A pretty big one too. Hopefully, he will make more progress on the rest of his agenda, but he can't do it alone.

The deadline was February so this is just a nice gesture, nothing more.

Trump will get the same treatment Reagan got in 1990.

No matter what kind of a rotten, meaningless Iran-Obama-type “agreement” that dictator Kim would give our President next month—which would be entirely in character for that regime that cannot be trusted—this insures that Trump would likely be fettered to appeasement as his predecessors and unable to walk away from that table, a critical leverage he needs. This premature direction likely only raised the stakes way too high prior to going eye to eye—as not a damn thing has been promised nor secured from DPRK at all. The reality is we are months if not years away from true, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization with Kim Dynasty and KWP still in power in Pyongyang.

"...I hope you’re joking..."

The man loves of country, our rich American heritage, and our wonderful American exceptionalism.
I would have to research to see if a non-lawyer has ever been seated on the SCOTUS.
One can think of countless judges over whom President Trump would make far wiser and more Constitution-focused decisions.

Best. Thing. Ever. At least until he is later nominated to Supreme Court.

Ha ha That is pretty good.

He hasn’t earned it yet.

But if they give it to him I hope that he goes to receive it and at the ceremony refuses it as it is truly meaningless.

Perhaps you haven’t noticed: Trump is not the one holding up progress on those items. What are you doing to help clear a path for him?

><

He is not qualified and after 2024 he wants to retire at age 78. He would not want the job.

Give the man a break. It’s silly to even entertain the thought.

That would be a mistake.

I get it. Since Zero, it doesn’t mean anything. Still, it exists, and Trump has actually tried, and accomplished things.
