He and Lindsey haven’t seen a war they didn’t like.

I have no use for these people. It would be nice if they both just faded away.

McCains hatred of Trump has made me think he could not fade away fast enough.

I can’t stand McCain, but attacking a dying man shows no class whatsoever.

I hope you mean in general, because I didn’t say a damn word about McCain in this thread.

All I got for a supposed Diverticulitis attack was a CT and EXTREMELY LOW DOSE of Dilaudid. This was the 1st ER trip in Feb, 2nd they said it was a UT. Turns out ER’s don’t know how to treat GI ISSUES other than a CT and a LOW dose of USELESS Dilaudid. And the Radiologist can’t tell the difference between Diverticulitis and a Swollen Small Bowel, turns out to be SIBO Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (infection). VERY PAINFUL.

Sounds more like cancer has metastasized. Any one with Diverticulosis knows what foods to avoid, I’ve been doing it for years. And I have Gastropresis Very slow digestion on top of that. Thanks to the Osteoarthritis Black Boxed for GI/Heart Pills.

I had the surgery in mid October and came to love my stoma and accept the bag duty. I am now in the third week of recovery for the second surgery to remove the stoma, remove the bag, and reconnect all the plumbing.

If McCain is not accustomed to doing things for himself, the bag duty will be a major life change

What symptoms preceded the gall bladder surgery?

Strangely believe it, but I have a friend who had very similar experiences. The condition in a more or less emergency fashion is apparently not uncommon.

The hernia a year later is worrisome possibility

Apparently, my gall bladder symptoms were different than most. I've only met one other person who had the same symptoms. Plus, I'm a female, so symptoms are supposedly different from what men may have. I suffer from GERD and have a hiatal hernia as well, and thought my symptoms might be caused by the hernia acting up. I felt flushed, had a headache, felt sweaty with chills that would come and go. My blood pressure went up. I had a heaviness in my chest...not actual pain...more like a discomfort that radiated into the middle of my back. It felt like I wasn't able to take a full breath...although I wasn't short of breath.

The first time I went to the emergency room with the symptoms, they were concerned it could be a heart issue so they did tests for that. Blood work showed my liver enzymes were slightly elevated. They ruled out heart problems, and sent me home once the symptoms had stopped. The second time I ended up in the emergency room with the same symptoms they did a sonogram on my liver, gall bladder and pancreas, as well as new blood work. My liver enzymes were higher, and my gall bladder showed that I had many small stones. I'm a diabetic and have a fatty liver (I don't drink alcohol at all). My gastroenterologist had prescribed the drug Urso Forte to keep the bile ducts clear. I'd been on it for years. The way it was explained to me, was that over time, the medication will break down any stones that may form, but it turns them to sand, which can cause problems, and in my case, that's what happened. Must be some of that sand was passing or getting caught in the duct, and that's when my symptoms would occur. Knock on wood, I haven't had any of those symptoms since I had my gall bladder removed in 2015.

In his 80’s, while undergoing glioblastoma, now intestinal surgery in the midst of cancer treatment. He’s in a bad way. Not sure I believe that’s why he’s back in the hospital though..could be the glioblastoma is just doing what it does.. it’s a nasty progression.
