Great question. Sessions is not recused from anything but Russia Collusion. If Mueller passed this info off because it wasn’t part of his investigation, then Sessions should have been in charge of the decision to raid or not.
Rosenstein is overstepping his authority big time and Sessions is letting him do it.

He should be reassigned somewhere in northern Alaska and demoted to office boy.
It’s because he is innocent, and so knows they will find nothing.
But, he underestimated them if he thinks they won’t manufacture something. Heck, they already have- and hilLIARy paid for it.
But he is also letting the main stream media still drive the daily narrative.
Hannity, Rush, Levin, et al have way more than double their audience... but they also spent a lot of talking talking about what the main stream media drives that day.

It’s easier said than done. Most Republicans in Congress are against Trump firing Mueller and also Rosenstein just as much as Dems are against it. Add that it’s apparent that Mueller probably wants to be fired right now as a way of stoking impeachment and so there’s a lot of political matters behind the scenes moving around
You know Sessions might not be slumbering at all. It is possible that Sessions approved of this himself. After all this is Sessions’ DOJ and the buck stops on his desk.
Session apparently recused himself from the US Constitution and his oath to it.
If Sessions won’t do it, senior Republican leaders should publicly and loudly call for his resignation.

Since President Trump has repeatedly expressed his dissatisfaction with Sessions and he hasn’t resigned, I doubt any call from Congress is going to do the trick.
Apparently, the FBI took the hinges off of Cohen’s door at 6:00 am in the morning and came in like storm troopers to exercise their warrant.
There is more than ample cause to fire Rosenweasel. Trump firing Mueller is a bad move in my view but RR has been the head of the snake from the start. RR enables Mueller’s every move even after the fact. I think GOP’s threats are empty when it comes to RR.
It’s a moot point because it would appear nothng will make Trump fire him.
With their President under attack by a partisan Witch Hunt, the GOP-controlled congress is silent - less Rand Paul.
