Liberals are staunch promoters of mandatory, single-payer health-care insurance. Yet, they are firmly opposed to the Second Amendment and the right to keep and bear arms. This is complete hypocrisy.
The first line of defense of your life is not health insurance. It is the right to keep and bear arms. Nothing quite protects the health and well-being of you and your loved ones like "packing heat." It is the first line of defense in insuring the health of you and your family. Health insurance is all well and good, but it won't stop a stark-raving lunatic from harming you and yours in a fit of violent rage.
If someone invades your home and threatens your family, what good is a health insurance plan? Even a so-called Cadillac Plan would be worthless under the circumstances. Imagine telling your intruder, "Wait a minute, you can't hurt me, I have Obamacare." And the intruder, of course, responds, "Not so fast chump, before I leave, I wanna see your insurance card."
Liberals are hypocrites in the extreme. They are pro-choice only about abortion and military service. Gun ownership ? Nope. Education ? Nope. Health insurance ? Nope. Voluntary retirement funding ? Nope. And on and on. Liberty is indivisible; you're either free or you're not. Liberty is not cafeteria style.
If liberals had been consistent when cobbling together Obamacare, they would've made mandatory gun ownership part of the plan.

Entirely too logical. The author presupposes a right to life which is clearly denied by the left and, further, that the purpose of mandatory health insurance is to preserve said life rather than to exert control.
If people can meet their needs or take care of themselves they may in fact choose to do so.
This is about everyone else having to play by their rules in all circumstances whatsoever.
Being able to defend yourself does in fact make it possible to try to live by rules that aren’t theirs.
I refuse to associate with liberals and just tell them to go away and leave me alone.
It depends on what is threatening your life. A gun has absolutely no affect in combating cancer for example.
But yes, a gun is a tool to safeguard your life when it is being threatened by some life form, be it human or animal.
But they are not employing hypocrisy, because their concern is not your well being, but rather control. Instead they are just using their fake concern as the venue to convince the stupid to relinquish their control to them. In other words they are deceitful, period.
The more the left rants, the more bitterly I cling to my faith and guns. In the long run, those things and our loved ones are all we really have. And that’s enough.
several years ago another freeper posted a ‘liability form’ to be handed to the healthcare provider when the questions of guns came up. I have used it in the past and the subject was dropped and the form never filled out. it was on my last computer so I don’t have it readily available. The form was well worth having just for these instances. Additionally, it was hilarious to see them go into panic attack over the whole situation.
