Colorado is becoming as big a two cultures state as California

...and imposes registration requirements on city residents who may wish to retain any of the prohibited items for a limited time period...

Yeah - "register" your weapons so we can come and pick them up next Wednesday....

Every time this has been tried, nobody took the bait and I can't see them doing so now......Molon Labe...

“registration requirements on city residents who may wish to retain any of the prohibited items for a limited time period”

So, after a limited time period, after
registration, will they attempt
confiscation?

Went to school in Boulder. Know the hippie town well.

Here’s an idea ... replace all gun stores with pot shops. /s

I bet the GPAs of CU Boulder students have dropped since legalization.

“I assume this news is from Boulder, Colo., the Berkeley of the Midwest. If so, it’s hardly a surprise.”

It’s the Berkeley of the Rocky Mountain time zone. Madison,WI is the mid west version.

Never been to Madison, Wis., but from what I hear, it out-Berkeleys Berkeley.

Been to Madison many, many times. Never been to Berkeley so I can’t say for sure. My suspicion is that although their politics are equally rotten, the pukes in Berkeley are probably more demonstrative. Madison is a beautiful city and is a communist island in a sea of relative normalcy.

I've been to Berkeley many times. I go there every two years to watch the USC-Cal football game.

Despite having a lot of good eating places, Berkeley lives up to its radical reputation. It's sad to walk along streets named for great men of letters like the historian Hubert Howe Bancroft, the English playwright and poet Joseph Addison, the Scottish hymn-writer Horatius Bonar and Theodore Roosevelt, and then look around at what the place is like today.

I remember the Mario Savio “free speech” movement of the early 60’s. This was arguably the beginning of turmoil of the 60’s and for sure UC’s deterioration.

...Colorado is becoming as big a two cultures state as California...

California loonies are leaving the state because of the consequences of liberal laws they approved. And they are implementing the same kind of socialist laws in Colorado. The same ones causing the same oppression they left.

Texas is a target for them too.

Colorado was two cultures prior to pot legalization

That’s why it got voted in for counties that want it

Colorado started shifting early 70s

Hippies first

Californians second

Gen X northeasteners

Now hipsters and stoners

California migration probably changed it most

My dad was born in Artesia NM and we had kin in Santa Fe

I knew Colorado pretty well from pre school on

Man it was a cowboy state in the 60s

You know another unintended consequence that brought in liberals

Skiing
