HARTFORD, Conn. — Rep. Elizabeth Esty issued an apology Thursday for failing to protect female employees who say they were harassed by her former chief of staff, including one woman who said she was punched in the back and received death threats.

The three-term Democratic congresswoman from Connecticut on Thursday also personally repaid the federal government $5,000 in severance issued to now-fired Tony Baker, according to her current chief of staff, Timothy Daly.

Esty, known in Congress for advocating women's rights issues, said she has since hired new senior staff and instituted mandatory harassment training.

The top boss in my office never confronted anyone for bad behavior. She was also one of the folks who covered up for Sandusky when she served on the Board of Directors...women are no better than men when it comes to protecting their own turf and paycheck. And yet this woman was one of the nicest women I’ve ever worked for. People are complicated!

Women , feminine, are known to be unable to handle confrontation. They go possum. A guy either will fight back or quit

Another shining example of a Liberal Democrat, sorry for getting caught. Not for doing or, in this case, not doing what should have been done.

She was nice, but had zero integrity. As long as no one was messing with her sandbox and the toys in it, all was right with the world. But, I wonder what she would have been like if it was one of her relatives that were a victim to that sc*mbag.

A man’s ultimate dream like Trump is to compete, confront and achieve world leadership like adventure. It simply is not the case of women in a professional setting where the woman dream is the quiet glamor of being attended while traveling the world.

On this basis alone women are terrible in general in leadership position because that is not their passion. The exception are women with some masculinity like Thatcher.

"clearly you have never been married!"

Marriage is a different situation altogether; then women go from being "nice" to thinking they rule the roost overnight.
I'll never walk down the aisle again, made that mistake twice already.

This story magnifies the fact that we still do not have the full story about:

<><>politicians' sexual harassment histories,and,

<><>the millions taxpayers were extorted to settle these cases.

Back in 12/26/2017 when the sexual harassment subject matter erupted, in a grandiose show of his "impending knighthood," Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Alabama), Rules Committee chair, graciously said that "further particulars cannot be made public, in order to respect the confidentiality afforded to victims of sex harassment by members."

MEMO TO SHELBY: you, sir, know dam well. Americans do not want the names of the victims.
Americans DEMAND to know the names of the elected sex harrassers and tax dollars they extorted to silence their victims.

AMERICANS DEMAND TO KNOW THE SCOPE AND DIMENSION OF TAX DOLLARS EXTORTED FOR THESE ITEMS:

<><> tax-paid hush money disguised as bonuses

<><> tax-paid severances

<><> no-show jobs to silence victims

<><> tax-paid legal assistance

<><> payouts from the Office of Compliance

<><> payouts from tax-paid office budgets

<><> all other forms of tax-paid bribery

<><> all other forms of tax-paid hush money.

TALKING POINTS The revelation that there is a separate tax-paid office in Congress facilitating and paying for sexual harassment investigations, with little transparency and apparently little oversight, indicates Congress’ handling of sexual harassment is playing the role of covering up offenses rather than revealing them.

Overburdened American taxpayers foot the bills for the elected parasites' food, gym, stamps, water, and most everything else a NORMAL citizen has to buy out of their own pocket.The legend is that elected parasites do not ever spend even ONE PENNY of their own money for anything. The cunning parasites have ways to soak the taxpayers even for a sheet of toilet paper.

=======================================

(HAT TIP MEWZILLA) All 535 members of Congress should be asked if he or she is party to any non-disclosure agreement. If the Rep or Sen can not or will not answer in the negative, the member should resign. And these are just the settlements the Senate is willing to cop to…FWIW, I’m far more worried about settlements we don’t know about. Those could be a national security nightmare.

==============================================

I firmly believe the depraved members are covering-up their sexual harassment. The settlement list above downplays it considerably. I believe they papered over the sexual harassment using other more "politically correct" settlement terminology. This is the reason "Sir Shelby" wont release the names of the victims.......they have stories to tell.

What we are learning here is that these whoremaster sex-maniacs have hidden their depraved proclivities well. These lowlife conmen think up varied ways to extort our tax dollars to cover-up their twitching penises and roaming hands. Caught in the act: Alcee Hastings, Conyers, Grijlava, and Farenthold pigged out on tax dollars in entirely different ways......to cover-up the fact they dont belong in Congress.

=================================

REFERENCE POINT-—when NBC News directed questions about the Alcee Hastings $220,000 harassment settlement and payments to two congressional entities the documents showed were involved in establishing and approving them — to the Office of Compliance and the Senate Office of the Chief Counsel for Employment — neither provided answers. In an email, the Office of Compliance’s media representative wrote that “the Congressional Accountability Act requires that the OOC maintain the confidentially of contacts made with the office. The O/O/C cannot comment on whether matters have or have not been filed with the office.” The Senate legal office did not respond to questions — including why it reached a settlement in this case even though Hastings is a member of the House.

THE PROCESS IS RIGGED AGAINST TAXPAYERS---In the “lessons” memo, the counsel representing Alcee Hastings (an impeached judge elected to Congress), she argued that “the manner in which the case was resolved was not ideal, and, going forward, we strongly recommend that the commission consider adopting regulations or policies to avoid this type of situation.”

According to the “lessons” memo, Winsome Packer contacted the Senate Chief Counsel for Employment’s office and “indicated her interest in settling the case.” A draft confidentiality agreement between Packer and the commission, obtained by NBC News, forced Packer to resign in order to accept the settlement. She also had to agree to never seek employment with the commission again.

The agreement was also made with the commission, not Hastings, and required commission employees to attend a sexual harassment training session. Hastings was not required to attend. According to the settlement, the commission’s harassment politics also had to be redrafted and distributed them at the seminar.

The Senate office didn’t communicate with the House office that first opened the case on the terms and details of the settlement, according to Lett’s “lessons” memo. Other than a conversation between Hastings and Cardin in 2014 that a settlement had been reached, Hastings was never provided any details of the settlement until it was reported in the press last week.

No, I meant what I said. People are complicated. This woman was about as no-nonsense as you can get; funny, down-to-earth, really nice. And she was wildly successful in Wall St. But she did not like confrontation.

Same fake news media that excoriated Trump for keeping alleged wife abuser Rob Porter on the job is circling the wagons for Democrat Elizabeth Etsy’s covering up for her own abusive Chief Of Staff!

Wow... talk about double standards. But she’s a Democrat and her compassion is completely understandable - why Trump’s a woman-hating lout.

Got it. How’s that’s MeToo# thing working out for the Left? Turns out sex is still a matter of politics.

Virtue signaling convinces the left of its own unimpeachable morals. When push comes to shove, it rejects guilt for any of its wrongdoing and attributes such allegations to conspiracy theories. -- How Democrats Suppressed the #MeToo Movement in the Party | FrontPage | April 27, 2018 | Daniel Greenfield
