Democrats Fear Illegal Aliens Losing Elected Representation After 2020 Census
Breitbart ^ | 29 Mar 2018 | John Binder

Democrats are concerned that illegal aliens will lose their elected representation following the 2020 Census, which will ask respondents whether or not they are United States citizens.

Though American citizens living in states have had to deal with their votes being diluted by the votes of citizens living amongst large illegal alien populations for decades, Democrats remain worried for illegal aliens and their elected representation.

Juan Escalante, an open borders activist, raised concerns for illegal aliens in the Huffington Post:

This question about U.S. citizenship could have damaging effects on our nation. Not only would taxpayers see their states losing millions of dollars over inaccurate data, but it could lead to President Donald Trump’s already supercharged deportation force to request additional resources, should it determine that too many noncitizens are residing in the United States. [Emphasis added]

New York City’s demographer in the New York Times also said he was concerned for illegal aliens:

There are now 3.2 million foreign-born people in New York City, out of 8.6 million residents. Of those foreign-born, 46 percent are noncitizens, Mr. Salvo said. Mr. Salvo estimates that 500,000 are undocumented. [Emphasis added]

“Those immigrants are side by side with children who are citizens, with an uncle who is a legal permanent resident, with the cousin who is undocumented. All of those people are afraid,” Mr. Salvo said. [Emphasis added]

I’d be okay with only US Citizens being counted for representation.

I don’t get why the ones who are legal should be afraid, only the ones who are here illegally. This is all such BS.

Please don’t vote for Bush League Republicans who want to make those 30 million fraudulently documented foreigners into citizens.

US citizens are afraid of the KEEPING that status on the census, along with fearing they’ll keep adding to the list of things that these “undeservables” get from us. That’s why Trump got elected - to turn off the spigot so these “undeservables” don’t bleed us dry!

(They call us “deplorables” so let’s call their illegals that, if they object to the word “illegal” ... I’d love to see that next time some smarmy MSM talkie chimes in with “we don’t call them illegals here” ... okay Joy Reid or whoever, then I’ll call them “undeservables”, because they don’t deserve citizenship, government benefits or being counted in the census to increase the electoral powers of the regions that harbor them in large numbers )

What’s to stop illegal aliens from dishonestly stating they are citizens when asked by the census? That’s what they do when they register to vote Democrat. I understand answers given to the census can only be used for the census.

If you’re illegal, you aren’t supposed to vote, and therefore aren’t entitled to elected representation.

This is not about apportionment to Congress. That is based on number of residents, not citizens. If all noncitizen just fill out the form, there will be no effect on congressional district apportionment. That is a straw man. the real issue is that ‘rats do not want us the people to know how many aliens are in our midst.

Counting them the same as citizens is a covert way of allowing them to vote because those numbers determine how many representatives they get to have in Congress.
