The School Shooting Generation Has Had Enough
Time ^ | March 22, 2018 | Charlotte Alter

It’s lunchtime on a Tuesday, and the kids are piling into a pizzeria booth in Coral Springs, Fla., to plot a revolution. “The adults know that we’re cleaning up their mess,” says Cameron Kasky, an 11th-grader at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, who started the #NeverAgain movement to curb gun violence three weeks earlier in his living room. “It’s like they’re saying, ‘I’m sorry I made this mess,’” adds buzzcut senior Emma González, “while continuing to spill soda on the floor.” Kasky and González are sitting with two more of the movement’s leaders, Alex Wind and Jaclyn Corin. Except they’re not sitting, exactly. They’re crouching diagonally on the seat and leaning back on one another’s knees in order to devour their calzones while maintaining as much physical contact as possible. Corin throws a crouton into González’s mouth. Kasky uses Corin’s knees as a pillow. The conversation turns from their fellow organizer David Hogg (“So laser-focused,” González says, that “he could make his body get pregnant if he wanted to”) to the conspiracy theory that they’re actors being paid by shadowy donors (prompting Kasky to ask why his credit card was recently declined at McDonald’s) to their prolific trolling of the NRA. They agree that the gun lobby’s spokeswoman, Dana Loesch, is “very hot but kind of scary,” as González puts it.

When these silly children stop playing the video games that includes rapes and murders on a mass casualty basis and stop going to Hollywood movies and watching TV show that depict mass murders as another mundane subplot - then I will listen to what they have to say.

Just kidding. Even if they themselves cleaned up their own messes and mistakes - I still could not give a care what they think.

Perhaps these silly boys and girls are not to blame for being born into a liberal culture of hatred, insanity and violence - but they do themselves no good by mindlessly bleating the gun grabbing rhetoric of their educators.

No good at all.

It isn’t anything that defines their generation that’s bullstalin.

From there, the Parkland kids plan to make gun reform the central issue for young voters in the midterms. “We’re going to show these politicians that we’re coming for them,” says Hogg. Kasky is more ambitious. “The world failed us,” he says, “and we’re here to make a new one that’s going to be easier on the next generation. If you’re against that, then get out.”

Every generation thinks theirs will be the best one yet. And they should think that. There is always room to hope for a better tomorrow.

I used to think the "Greatest Generation" was the best ever. Then I realized they had us baby boomers as kids, and look how screwed up WE are.

Have you ever been in a school cafeteria and seen the students eat? It would be more appropriate to put in hog troughs.

These are the nymphs who want to lecture their elders on the “new world” they are going to create. Guess whose money they plan to use.

What do you expect from a generation taught for over a decade by die-hard liberal propagandists?

I'd expect vicious little self-centered facists just like these. They know how to parrot commie talking points, but have little true understanding of the ramifications thereof. Their parents no doubt had the same affliction.

I went to high school 10 miles to the south of there, many, many years ago.

I can't say how much things have changed, but soon enough these kids will become preoccupied with summer at the beach, Friday night football, dating, etc., and this will fade.

Die?

Looks like history has finally met its match.

Here in Louisiana, the little darlings are threatening to shoot up the schools. Fourteen year old girl was arrested today.

The media is fueling this trash. The kids are but mere pawns. The globalist, communist media is using the exact same playbook that they used to go on the redefinition of marriage jihad.

It’s coordinated, planned, and they fully intend to ensure that only one side of the debate has the megaphone.

I was a little young for Columbine but even I know the Columbine Massacre happened during the height of the Assault Weapons Ban.

No one else remembers that apparently.

The next Assault Weapons Ban won't look like the one Bill Clinton signed in '94. In fact, it might not require legislation at all.

What we are seeing will be something of a work-around where guns will still be legal but it will be next to impossible to buy and sell them. Banks won't loan money to gun dealers. Credit card companies won't allow transactions. Domain hosts won't allow websites to be set up. Nobody will accept advertising. You get the picture. And not a single law needs to be passed.

The framework for this is already being put in to place.

and the “Parent Generation” is darn tired of smart-mouthed kids thinking they can get in our faces with comments such “The adults know that we’re cleaning up their mess.” Say that to me, and I”ll be finding the bar of soap.

The Parkland 4 speak for Democrats.

The Parkland 3000 wonder why Democrats put them in danger.
