Australia is ready to consider issuing special visas to mainly white, Afrikaans-speaking South African farmers due to the “horrific circumstances” of land seizures, violence and murder they face.
Peter Dutton, Australia’s home affairs minister, told the Sydney Daily Telegraph on Wednesday his department was examining a range of methods to smooth their path to Australia on humanitarian or other visa programs.
As Breitbart News has reported, South Africans are increasingly worried that the government’s plans to expropriate land from white farmers without compensation could destroy the economy and the country’s fragile democracy.

Good to read a small bit of sanity about this whole mess. The unfortunate thing is it’s been 25 years in the making and these Afrikaner farmers just stretched the rubber band too far when they should have pulled up stakes.

They would be a better fit for the more heterogeneous United States than historically British Australia or New Zealand.
Good for them. I think South African farmers would do quite well in Australia and be productive members of Aussie society in very short order.

The optics of Trump taking in a bunch of white farmers from the land of apartheid is pretty tough. It’s the right thing to do but politically it’s a bees nest. Better for oz to do it and let them migrate later.

Huge RSA expat community in Australia. Same with NZ. Were they fit in best is Texas and enormous expat community there.
Some of us saw the writing on the wall. We got the hell out before it could become Zimbabwe 2.0. Afrikaners don’t raise pansies or snowflakes.
A large % of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago staff are RSA expats. We should fast track, as in instant, Visas for the Boers. They would be a tremendous economic shot in the arm for the USA.
We work any American into the dirt. My parents, in their 80’s constantly complain about how lazy their neighbors are. Dad cleans the fountains, rakes leaves, mows, plants trees, powerwashes their deck, etc. They are not retired. Their company is a leading financial services wholesaler and it is just them. They don’t want employees. To quote them “These F%^king Americans are lazy.”
