They might start by being real journalists and covering the news instead of foisting their opinions and slant on stories, and by stopping the endless negativity towards President Trump. However, I think it’s too late for that.

THere used to be a saying about not going after someone who buys ink by the barrel (i.e., newsmen) but that was in a day when newspapers represented the only way to reach vast audiences and shape their thinking. All that is undone by a President who uses twitter. And that is why they hate his use of twitter. It renders them useless. All their power, and perceived power, is just gone.

Trump is funnier than the "comedians" who try to mock him. People like Kimmel and Baldwin and Colbert are so filled with hate and smug superiority towards Trump that they can't be funny. As for Chuck Todd, he's an overpaid prick and I'll criticize him all I want.

If people laughing at Trump’s jabs at the media and Chuck Todd were irreparably damaging “our ability to function as rationally informed citizens,” then Zurawik needs to go talk to Todd’s NBC colleagues and his Meet the Press panel ASAP because they were having fun with it that morning.
