Looks like today is going to be a very interesting,
and stressful day for many.
It's crazy around town, and many placed are closed
since the Nor'easter will be around for the next 24 hours.
And moving in a SE direction as the day progresses.
So while our wind gusts aren't as bad as our Northern neighbors,
we, in the southern states may get our share before the day is over.
Got some trees down throughout the area,
and power outages in some areas.
And, of course, the ever present accidents.
Ours has blinked off and on; just enough to have to reset clocks. LOL

Just popping in quickly to say hello to all.
And to wish everyone a safe day.

Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

Right on! The chorus I directed (very humble compared to this) back in the '70s served various churches during the summer vacations of their choirs. It gave me a great deal of joy to arrange "It Is No Secret" for our use, as well as some other numbers. At Christmas time, we visited local nursing homes to bring Christmas cheer to the clients and staff. I have a copy somewhere of "O Holy Night" that I had arranged for them, should you ever need one.

And thanks for the bagpipes numbers -- was a piper for our Infantry company about 60 years ago. That's a tough instrument to qualify on. It is a battle instrument, and you must be able to play it while running uphill for a mile, under fire, to be considered a real piper. That was beyond me.

Now, you're gonna think of me as a braggart, but hopefully you will just count it as just an old man reminiscing. You'll only be young once, so whatever you do, do it with all your might.

WADR, Who the hell has heard of that? I haven’t. There you go, it is not a “national” holiday that everyone knows. And makes every kid wear green or get pinched, and every school decorates for. Never mind every news channel everywhere in the US has to show all the parades and armless dancing that is being done all over the city, etc.

Nope, you can state what you know about some obscure maybe local custom, but that isn’t the same as everyone in this country knowing what St. Patrick’s Day is, er, We Irish Are So Great Day.

I’d like to just stick to July 4, thanks.
