The announcements by MetLife and Symantec mean four companies have cut ties with the NRA this week. On Thursday, First National Bank of Omaha and Enterprise Rent-A-Car cut ties with the NRA as well. The First National Bank of Omaha announced that it would no longer offer NRA Visa Cards and Enterprise Rent-A-Car announced it would no longer offer discounts to NRA members.

Why were NRA members getting a discount to rent a car anyway? Makes me wonder which organizations get discounts and which ones don’t and why.

We like Enterprise because they pick upu up and take you home within a certain radius of their location. We can deal with taxis, I think. Will call them tomorrow.

“I know the guy who took out the church shooter was a member.

More than that. He’s a weapons trainer — for NRA, I think.

Born in the wake of the horrific school shooting at that claimed 17 lives at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida on February 14, the #BoycottNRA movement sought to push the 22 companies involved in the NRA’s benefit program to end their support. As it happened, six of the biggest rental car companies in this country—Hertz, Enterprise, National, Alamo, Avis, and Budget—all provided discounts to NRA members.

On Thursday, Enterprise Holdings, which controls the Enterprise, National, and Alamo brands, announced it would be cutting ties with the group, effective next month. And today, a spokesperson confirmed to The Drive that Avis Budget Group would follow suit and end its discount program. Finally, Hertz issued a brief statement saying it too had notified the NRA of its decision to withdraw as a benefits partner.

I won’t rent from Enterprise again either — and I would much rather use them than Hertz.

Fact is, they used to have 4 million. That was until the last public attack on them. I expect they’ll fetch at least another million off this. I know they got at least 3 more from this household.

NRA to CNN: Thanks for the best advertising our money didn’t have to buy.

Enterprise Avis and National are all same company...

I think you mean ALAMO... Not AVIS

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enterprise_Holdings

Enterprise Holdings, Inc. is a private holding company headquartered in the Clayton suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, United States.[1] It is the parent company of car rental companies Enterprise Rent-A-Car,[2] National Car Rental,[2] Alamo Rent a Car,[2] and Enterprise CarShare. The holding company was formed in 2009 as a result of Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s 2007 acquisition of Vanguard Automotive Group, the parent company of National Car Rental and Alamo Rent a Car. The company sells its used cars through Enterprise Car Sales. It is owned by the Taylor family.[3]

"Think it's a bit higher now, but your point is well taken. One heck of a lot of Americans agree with NRA positions. Nearly 50% of households own a firearm. Things like banning semi-automatics, that's really what the assault weapon nonsense is about, they get it. It threatens dad's 1911 in the closet too. Some dems, Bill Clinton comes to mind, understand that. Radical gun grabbers don't. Because of the seriousness of the issue, 5 million translates to more votes than AARPs near 40 million. "

Great post. The key is to realize that AARP is merely virtue signaling because they are revenue-based on (1) gateway advertising, and (2) re-subscribing - something that they know is vastly majority women.

The NRA is an Organization funded by 5,000,000 Law Abiding American Citizens who support the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

These Companies aren’t just attacking the NRA, they are attacking every one of it’s Members and their Families and Friends.

Looks like the DemoncRat Brown Shirts are getting away with Blackmail and Extortion.

Ok - this is a very noobish and stupid question:

Besides joining & paying an NRA Membership - how can we help?

I’m sick of these libs fighting with their pocketbooks.

I’m also and Emerald Club member with Enterprise - calling them next week.

I'm sure Trump has a plan that, once executed, we will say was brilliant. However, that plan works only because we're finally pushing back. Please let me explain.

Just after the whole Virginia "white nationalist"/Antifa kerfuffle last year, the statists cranked up the agitprop to derail Trump/impeach him etc.

Trump held a magnificent press conference and took charge of the narrative. In turn, many on the "right" also turned on Trump, like the CEOs quitting his Advqisory Council. People got worried...is this the End of Trump?

Ultimately, it was all a futile effort. America/Deplorables, no longer peopled by milquetoast Republicans, understood what Trump was saying (and that he wasn't Hitler's incarnate), the NeverTrumpers kept rambling while Antifa were unmasked as the terrorists that they are, the American Renaissance losers were rejected by Deplorables, and ultimately we got tax reform (among other things).

We are seeing EXACLY the same thing now...on the backs of dead children, the statists want to convert Florida - one of the most pro-gun states in the union (and a vital source of conceal carry reciprocity) - into Connecticut...then onto the rest of the nation. In the process, the MSM is looking under every rock and in every hole for "conservatives" willing to surrender their right to KABA in return for invitations to cocktail and pizza parties.

However, the statists still haven't realized that Deplorables have cracked their code. Kurt Schlichter, in this piece from last February lays it out perfectly:

The Left is getting massively out-Alinskyed, and the hilarious thing is that this band of withered hippies, unemployable millennial safe-space cases, and unlovable + unshaven libfeminists don’t even know it.

The Leftist mafia godmaleidentifyingparents pulling the strings of the Marxist Muppets know the score – they are losing. And it’s awesome. Because, finally, the Right has taken Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals and shoved it up where #TheResistance don’t shine.

... Trump is clearly willing to use all his powers to beat the living liberalism out of our enemy. Wait, this is where the Fredocons loosen their bow ties and stutter, “Why…we can’t…Professor Wellington Wimpenheimer IV would not approve…it’s so mean…oh, well I never!”

Wake up. Man up. If you ever want to win (and maybe someday even kiss a girl) you need to get real. They hate us, and we either win or we spend the rest of our miserable lives as Boxer the Horse, slaving away to fund the welfare state under the lash of the Left until it decides it’s time to pack us off to the glue factory.

Thank you, Andrew Breitbart. You yelled “Follow me!” and led a movement that had previously been dominated by doofy wonks and bow-tied geeks over the top in a glorious bayonet charge against the paper tiger liberal elite.

For Donald Trump and the revitalized conservative movement, Alinsky's book isn’t some dusty old commie tome - it’s a lifestyle.

I'm waiting for Trump's magnificent plan this time around. Maybe he will tie "gun control" to the wall and DACA. Have Trump tweet something to this effect. Wait for the ensuing 3-days media storm of "using a tragedy for political gain." These poor children on CNN who should be healing but instead are being used and abused by their parents and Dems, will go back to school as the MSM moves on to the next group of people to use.

Ultimately, nothing gets done, freedom is saved (though doing something about the FBI blowing it would be nice) and statists wonder again how could they not get anything out of this tragedy...Russians!! Yeah, that's why...that's the ticket.
