This may not be the best place to start this thread, but then again it might be.
We are talking about what kids in school can do to protect themselves.
The link is only a suggestion. Add your own.
I will provide other links below.
Those are not pocket rockets...
lol
My kids are homeschooled and it ain’t just a slingshot protecting them.
Unfortunately too many school districts prohibit ANY type of weapon
Interesting.
I’d like to see a video on the old-fashioned sling (David/Goliath-style).
Do you want for me to draw the wooden stock?
Then find some very heavy rubber bands. A local store here had a big supply.
After I graduated to a rifle, some smart guy came along with a design with padded metal frame and used surgical tubing. Available in any good drug store. That one, if you have long arms is certainly lethal.

Different generational slang, I guess.
Yup, different generation, alright. I never spent 50 bucks for a slingshot. A y-shaped branch and an old inner tube and we were good to go.
Small heavy rubber band.
Masking tape
Ball bearings.
No window was safe in the early 1970s, including laminated auto glass.

These are called pocket rockets.
What is your definition of a pocket rocket?
Be DAMNED if I’m going up against a gun with a slingshot.
no no no ... The time it takes to aim ? And the damage it does ? No no no no
And now no shooter would be safe. In the 2018’s.
But if that fails, arm them with something.
Pocket rocket to a stupid democrat. He’s in prison for years by the way.
Might as well send them to school with a J-frame S&W or a Bowie knife. Zero tolerance policies, ya know. A gun-shaped Pop-Tart is still a weapon.
My stepson had a surgical tubing slingshot...I gave him some wheel bearings which were almost .50 caliber mini balls. The way they wripped through the woods...I have no doubt it was lethal.
So sorry...I was funning with you
Altogether different subject/topic
Not appropriate here.
My apologies, kg/nancy
