So-called toddler drinks are a growing category of beverages for young ones, but their labels may be misleading customers about their nutrition and health benefits. A study published Monday in the journal Preventive Medicine noted that the drinks -- marketed for children 9 to 36 months who are transitioning from breast or formula feeding to solid foods -- are not recommended by medical experts and provide "no advantage" over whole milk and a nutritionally adequate diet, according to the American Academy of Family Physicians... People are becoming more stupid by the day. Load their kids up on sugar and bring them down with meds and wonder why they're messed up.
There’s nothing like mom’s own milk!
Give them that as long as possible...
And I love the packaging
Learned very quickly with our first child that about 90% of all this crap they try to sell parents is a scam. The gallon jug of “pedia-water” that looked just like regular water at four times the cost was an easy tip-off.
Corn syrup is in everything, even stuff you wouldn't think needs to be sweetened.
Spend time reading labels and it's little wonder Americans are all fat and have diabetes.
I voted for Quisp.
Yes, some of us can see a scam a mile away. Pull ups is a huge money making scam. Big whoop. It’s a diaper. Same as a baby diaper. If they can’t feel and see the pee, they won’t learn to use the potty. I put real panties on our 18 mo. old who had herself potty trained in 4 days.
That means that YOU are responsible for Quangaroos.
3 yrs is too long. Children should be on solids at this point
If it was Pedialyte that is a necessary thing to stock at home. I always had two quarts on hand. It replenishes electrolytes and prevents deadly dehydration when a baby is very ill
Delay solid foods. Keep them back a year or two from starting school. Guarantee they’ll be living in your basement at 40 wearing adult sized diapers and downing power drinks while playing video games in your basement.
No, not Pedialyte. This overpriced crap.
I had to look that one up. OMG - orange-flavored cereal? ROFL.
btw - Matt Groening uses the middle initial “J” for his characters as a tribute to Jay Ward, of Rocky & Bullwinkle fame (and Captain Crunch, Quisp, Quake, etc.)
Just wow. My water supply is just fine
Wouldnt use this stuff on a bet
That’s what I did. I’ve never bought any of my kids those toddler drinks.
I had to stop breastfeeding all of my kids around 6 months (give or take with each of them). My oldest had a tongue tie & my supply was just not keeping up. The second one I dried up due to pregnancy with a third, and with that one she stopped when teething. Oh well.
My reason for posting though is to share this: I knew I had to switch to formula since I wasn’t producing breastmilk. It’s shocking what passes for infant formula in this country. Disgusting. No wonder people are stupid & kids are fat. Corn syrup solids, sugar, palm oil, brown rice syrup - all basically nutritionally devoid. I paid to import formula from the EU where standards are much higher ( to my surprise). I love my country, but the lobbyists & pay to play politics have ruined so much & affect us all right down to the very food we eat.
That garbage right there is loaded with fluoride, the harmful effects of which have been well documented. No way I’d give that to my kids....I wouldn’t give that to the dog!
Similar experience here ... just thankful I was able to nurse them as long as I did, even if it was only about 6 months for our youngest.
