I had to stop breastfeeding all of my kids around 6 months (give or take with each of them). My oldest had a tongue tie & my supply was just not keeping up. The second one I dried up due to pregnancy with a third, and with that one she stopped when teething. Oh well.
My reason for posting though is to share this: I knew I had to switch to formula since I wasn’t producing breastmilk. It’s shocking what passes for infant formula in this country. Disgusting. No wonder people are stupid & kids are fat. Corn syrup solids, sugar, palm oil, brown rice syrup - all basically nutritionally devoid. I paid to import formula from the EU where standards are much higher ( to my surprise). I love my country, but the lobbyists & pay to play politics have ruined so much & affect us all right down to the very food we eat.
Similar experience here ... just thankful I was able to nurse them as long as I did, even if it was only about 6 months for our youngest.
