Ryan Bounds, a federal prosecutor nominated to fill a seat on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, wrote opinion pieces as a student at Stanford University that derided multiculturalism on campus and expressed disdain for "race-focused groups," an advocacy group says in a new report that questions his fitness for the judgeship.
"Bounds's writings reveal strong biases that call into question his ability to fairly apply the law and to maintain confidence in the justice system's ability to dispense even-handed justice to all,'' the liberal Alliance for Justice said in the report.
Bounds, a politically conservative assistant U.S. attorney in Portland who now chairs the Multnomah Bar Association's equity, diversity and inclusion committee, disavowed the pieces in an email he sent Friday night to committee members.

They will go all out to protect their liberal bastion, the 9th circuit!
This is just the beginning.

Has been some talk of splitting the 9th Circus Court in two. Works for me.

Nominated in May. McConnell could have simply let the Senate recess and this backlog would end. He’s just as guilty, if not more so, than the RATS delaying this as long as possible.

Bound’s original writings sound pretty accurate, but he has now repudiated them and apologized. That’s not promising for a potential judge who will need to stand up the far left views of the 9th circuit.

It’s sad that so many people want laws to be applied differently based on background - black, gay, muslim, illegal, and other groups should all be treated different in the courts than the rest of us.
A “wise Latina woman” is able to bend (or break) the law depending on the defendant. This guy, not so much - the same laws and rights probably apply to all in his mind.

The candidate sounds like the cure for the liberal disease on the left coast
His mild writings are nothing when compared to Senator, Secretary of State and Presidential candidate, the marxist Hillary Clinton.

The hypocrites argue that this appointee has shown strong bias by his writings and could not be fair and impartial while they argue Strozk and Page are entitled to their opinions.

Having skimmed through the article it appears that he has apologized for the insensitive writings of his youth. I think he was far wiser in the mid to late 1990s when he wrote the offending articles, not only was he wiser he was about 20 years ahead of his time.
I have a book on my bookshelf DIVERSITY by Peter Wood copyright 2003 that talks about how diversity is a deadening force in America. This diversity nonsense is way over hyped; its changing the United States from the great melting pot into a giant cafeteria compartment tray.

So hes racist because he opposes racism?Exactly so. One must support their NEW racism, and oppose their OLD racism, or else one is a racist. Ignoring race, and treating people like fellow citizens, is a criminal act in the eyes of the eternal racists.
(The GOP has not passed one race-based law in US history. EVERY one of them has been a Democrat proposal.)

You need to get with the program. In our new liberal world down is up, up is down, good is bad, etc. etc. Common sense to be outlawed if Dems win the midterms.
