Bush to Americans on Illegal Immigrants: You Should Be Thanking and Welcoming Them
Townhall ^ | February 8, 2018 | Leah Barkoukis

Former President George W. Bush was supportive of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program Thursday, as he told an audience at a summit in Abu Dhabi that the U.S. needs to “welcome” them.

Beyond that, he said at the summit hosted by the Milken Institute, a California-based economic think tank, that Americans should be thanking the illegal immigrants for doing jobs they refuse to do.

"Americans don’t want to pick cotton at 105 degrees, but there are people who want put food on their family’s tables and are willing to do that,” he said, according to The Associated Press. "We ought to say thank you and welcome them.”

Bush, who was critical of President Trump’s approach to DACA, said “America’s their home,” referring to the program’s recipients.

Trump announced in September he was ending the program with a six-month delay to allow Congress to come up with a permanent fix. That deadline of March 5 is rapidly approaching, he continues to warn lawmakers.

Bush acknowledged the U.S. immigration system is “broken” and explained that he “tried [to fix it], but unsuccessfully.”

“It is important for our economy and also important for our soul that the immigration system functions well,” he said.

Speaking of the U.S.’s relationship with Mexico, he said it’s “vital for our economy and for our stability. We’ve got to enforce our borders and we’ve got to enforce our laws.”

No, I didn’t forget Billy Jeff, nor did I forget Johnson. I put them next ... but they were more followers than leaders in expanding the scope of Fedzilla and damaging the republican nature of our government.

Billy Jeff was the worst person ever to be President, followed by Barry Soetoro.

Apparently the Arbusto Fam think they made and p0wn at least the Texas RINO Party if not the National Party.

Trust me. (I could give you an anecdotal example in a PM if extremely necessary.)

Yes, yes! Barry Seal was one, not the guy I mentioned but there were more than two and a number of “helpers” either in the flights or merely locals on this end, helping unload everything. My guy was a pilot and I’m thinking had been a USAF pilot, maybe even a ‘Nam pilot but he was pretty cool about the whole thing stating, mostly no one would ever expose the whole thing.....or live to tell about it!

As for Carter, I try to give him a break. I think he’s a good and honorable man, but naive, and in way over his head. Sort of like putting an earnest Sea Cadet in charge of the Fifth Fleet. Bad things are bound to happen.

I always thought Carter was just incredibly naive, but I have seen information since then that leads me to believe he was not as clean as we had all been led to believe.

Even if the man's heart was in the right place, his naivete made him a disaster for the nation. 1 million people died in the Iraq/Iran war that would not have happened had Carter supported the Shah instead of throwing him under the bus.

Nuclear armed Iran is Carter's legacy, and we are still dealing with the utter disaster he left behind in world political affairs.

Mighta been the guy who wrote the book. The light plane company is excellent, and is outside of Albany, GA. Moody think it is. They are popular choice for bush planes in alaska, short take off an landing with balloon wheels on the summer melt fields. great video went viral on one that was landing into stiff wind at slow speed and landed in about 15 feet on a beach. Moody is/was an AFB in GA, so that’s not right cant remember.

No Woodrow? Historically, most conservatives saw Wilson as the first real modern style liberal.

He would be on my list of top ten, but not the top five. I picked Lincoln as number 1 for all the death and destruction caused by the civil war, and for empowering the North Eastern cartel that has had defacto control of running the nation ever since.

I picked Obama as number 2 for weaponizing the government against it's people, for providing aid and support to our enemies, for leaving the world political scene a bigger disaster (the migrants streaming into Europe were the result of that idiot taking out Gaddafi and teaming up with ISIS to overthrow Assad in Syria.) and for being a general all around piece of sh*t in every other way possible.

I picked Bill Clinton as number 3 for being a lying piece of communist sh*t draft dodger, and for being corrupt and sleazy to the core, also for selling out American interests to foreign powers to enrich his own pockets and the pockets of his hag bitch wife who belongs in prison along with him. For letting homos stay in the military, for creating the financial crises of 2008 by inducing banks to loan money to bad credit risks, and for a whole host of other patterns of behavior and acts which he committed.

I picked Lyndon Johnson as number 4 primarily for starting the 21 trillion dollars of spending on welfare programs. I also pick him for being a general D*ck and for lousing up the Vietnam war.

I pick Jimmy Carter as number 5 worst President for being a total klutz and moron in dealing with all problems both foreign and domestic. He was brain dead stupid on all his foreign policy decisions, (giving away the Panama Canal, supporting the ouster of the Shah of Iran) and he was brain dead and stupid on all his domestic policy issues and most especially in his creation of the Department of Education.

Wilson would probably have come in at number 6 for getting us into World War I, from which our absence would have likely had a far better outcome for the world and for the United States. I would have also picked him for number 6 for his pushing of progressiveness and more totalitarian control, his support of the Fed and Fiat Money, and for being a total all around D*ck.

“Americans don’t want to pick cotton at 105 degrees...”

Nobody, not even Mexicans “pick cotton” in the US anymore, it’s all machine harvested, has been for decades, what a moron.

O’bastard
Carter
Johnson
Kennedy
Clinton

Kennedy was pretty bad. He would make my top ten, but not my top five.

Kennedy botched the bay of pigs invasion, which *CAUSED* the Cuban missile crises that nearly got 100 million Americans killed because of his bungling, traded our missile bases to get the Russian Nukes out of Cuba, got us into the Vietnam war, and was a thoroughly disgusting pig of a man with all his sex scandals.

We (The U.S.) simply cannot afford to allow unrestricted open immigration. We also must be selective about those we allow to immigrate either temporarily or to become citizens. As selective as we mudt be about who enters the U.S. Our immigration laws must be enforced non-selectively. This emphasizes that nobody is above the law and that we are serious about putting US citizens first.

Bush’s statement shows that the elites view illegals as modern day slaves.

If I were to make a list of the five worst American presidents, George W. Bush would be on that list.
____________________________________________________________________

Bush Sr, Clinton, Bush Jr. and Obama gave us the America we have today. W. Bush and Obama gave us nearly 14 TRILLION DOLLARS OF DEBT between them both! Unbelievable that these two clowns were two sides off the same the coin!
