Jim Mattis fires lawyer overseeing Guantánamo trials of 9/11 terrorists: Report
Washington Examiner ^ | 2/5/18 | Katelyn Caralle

Posted on 02/05/2018 5:52:06 PM PST by markomalley

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis on Monday fired the top official overseeing the trials of five men being held at Guantánamo Bay who have been accused of plotting the 9/11 attacks.

Harvey Rishikof is an attorney with experience in national security law, but with no military experience. According to the Miami Herald, there is no known reason for Mattis’ decision to fire the man he named convening authority for military commission last April.

Two Pentagon lawyers have replaced Rishikof and Gary Brown, a legal adviser for military commissions who was fired by acting general counsel William S. Castle.

Tom Crosson, a spokesman for the Department of Defense, said the two men were removed from their positions on Monday.

President Trump has been critical of the speed at which trials by military commission moved. On Nov. 2 he tweeted that he wanted to send a suspected terrorist to Guantánamo, but it would take “much longer than going through the federal system.”

Rishikof was at the center of multiple controversial decisions, like suspending chief defense counsel Marine Brig. Gen. John Baker, and rejecting a proposed charge sheet for three former CIA captives suspected of plotting terror attacks.

Well, one reason to fire him is that it has been over 16 years since 9/11/01 and, far as we in the general public knows, there hasn’t been a single trial of any of the 9/11 terrorists.

That, and maybe a HUGE level of discretion re: new inmates is about to be required at Gitmo.

Read this if you have a strong stomach! I just wonder if we have, even with tribunals, a system of justice that moves at more than a snail’s pace. I mean they’re just getting around to trying the guy for USS Cole bombing. This ship was bombed in the year 2000! These rag heads most likely will die of old age at Club Gitmo. Just glad this “civilian lawyer” is gone. We need a military only, prosecuting force.

“I’m surprised soebarkah didn’t release them all.”

He tried.

It was costing the Fraud more and more political capital (and US $$) to find a receiving government for each successive release.

Is it? Perhaps, but Q’s drops have proven true, sometimes months later. He always says that the future proves the past, meaning that news & research proves drops he made in the past.

Ie: Q released this 12 days before the Memo came out. He told us what was in the Memo!

>Q:

>Will SESSIONS drop the hammer?
>
>1 of 22.
>
>#Memo shifts narrative
>
>#Memo reinstates SESSIONS authority re: Russia/ALL
>
>#Memo factually demonstrates collusion at highest level
>
>#Memo factually demonstrates HUSSEIN ADMIN weaponized INTEL community to ensure D victory {+insurance}
>
>#Memo factually demonstrates ‘knowingly false intel’ provided to FISA Judges to obtain warrant{s}
>
>THEY NEVER THOUGHT SHE WOULD LOSE.

That is a great summary of what was in the Memo released.
More Memos are coming. If it’s a LARP, then Q is a genius and psychic. Funny how statements and questions prove true.
One of his drops mentioned planes & message.

On Flightradar24, there were 2 planes, on the ground & off tarmac maneuvering in an odd way.

One of the spellings they made was SUIS. Suis is a French verb meaning have or am, ie Je suis grippe: I have the flu, or I am sick. The other spelling was SOS. I watched them on radar when looking at planes flying without a call sign.

I try to stay objective. If it’s a LARP, I’ll laugh my
arse off. I have to say tho, that mere observation over time indicates that Q is real.
