Muslims are Converting to Christianity in Record Numbers
National Catholic Register ^ | Patti Armstrong

Posted on 01/26/2018 1:04:07 PM PST by GoldenState_Rose

We are in a time of the first ever mass conversions of Muslims,” Father Mitch Pacwa SJ told me in a phone interview. “God is doing a mighty work among them.”

Pacwa said that mass conversions are happening even in very fundamentalist countries. There is rapidly growing number of conversions especially on the edges of the Muslim world in the western and southern parts of Africa, he said. “Africa is now growing predominantly Christian despite crackdowns,” Pacwa said.

Some of the noteworthy countries he mentioned include Iran, reported to have 3 million Christians, and Indonesia with reports of 2 million a year converting.

“In Mongolia, the president opened the country to Christians and there’s even an archbishop,” Pacwa said. “They built a Catholic school there too. If I was younger, I would have gone.” He said that the desire for a Western education was the impetus to open up the country to the Catholic Church.

There are even conversions happening in many strict Muslim countries, according to Pacwa. He did not want to go on record with particulars for fear of increased retribution. Mass conversions are also being reported among refugees that are filling up the Christian churches left empty by Europeans. Many wonder if those are authentic conversions or just a response to improving their chances for amnesty, but time will tell.

Signs of this conversion are showing up in the U.S. too, Pacwa said. “I was about to celebrate Mass at a Maronite church in San Diego and I said hi to a man who introduced himself as Achmad. I asked if he was a Christian. He said: ‘Yes, I was recently baptized.’ He said he from Morocco. Christians do not have the name Ahmad—that’s a form of Mohammad.”

Yes, it is wonderful that Christ gave us His Body and Blood for our salvation and we commemorate His sacrifice as He instructed us in the New Covenant.

The Mass is a true sacrifice, not just a commemorative meal, as “Bible Christians” insist. The Fathers knew this.

Irenaeus

“He took from among creation that which is bread, and gave thanks, saying, ‘This is my body.’ The cup likewise, which is from among the creation to which we belong, he confessed to be his blood. He taught the new sacrifice of the new covenant, of which Malachi, one of the twelve prophets, had signified beforehand: ‘You do not do my will,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will not accept a sacrifice at your hands. For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name is glorified among the Gentiles, and in every place incense is offered to my name, and a pure sacrifice; for great is my name among the gentiles,’ says the Lord Almighty. By these words he makes it plain that the former people will cease to make offerings to God; but that in every place sacrifice will be offered to him, and indeed, a pure one, for his name is glorified among the Gentiles” (Against Heresies 4:17:5 [inter A.D. 180-199]).

Ab so tively !

The most interesting and robust people I have ever met are from a different place than where they are now, whether Dem, turned Rep., ANYTHING other than born again Christian but now born again, Visiting missionaries now on leave after years abroad, public school advocate turned home schooler ... etc.

If you are an adult (and I am 70) and you are no different now than when you were twenty or thirty, or you have never met anyone that was once something and now is different, I'd advise you to check your pulse ....... you might be dead.

Man you fell for the Devil’s easiest trick there.

No true Saved by the Blood of Christ Child of God can ever lose his Salvation.

Romans 8:31-39
31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[a]) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Keep your arguments on “teachings” and “traditions” of your sect instead of the HOLY WORD OF GOD and see how it works for you.

This person is deeply deceived, so deceived that he believes even quoting The Messiah’s own words are invalid.

He has no place telling others about True Salvation.

A lot of folks are deeply deceived and it’s their own fault.

God’s Word is there for everybody who “seeks” and “knocks”.

God Bless FRiend!

But it’s not my job to decide who is a “real” Christian, that’s for God to decide.

Amen! If everyone on this forum had the same attitude, we could end the meaningless sniping between different brands over stuff like "Can God make a rock so big even he can't move it?"

I've never been able to figure out why so many morons like to pile on Mormons.

Is it because they practice unfair trade with their unpaid ministry thing? And, thus, get to use the vast majority of their tithes and offerings for things like growth.

Or is it because they produce an occasional putz of a politician like Romney? Because, as all the Mormon haters constantly remind us, he is so much worse than fake Catholics (Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, the Kennedy family, etc.) or kapo Jew (Schmuck Schummer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, etc.). Yeah, sure. Romney is a mouth without an office whose entire political career consisted of one term as a governor of an irrelevant state.

I can only observe if the rank and file members of any other major religion voted like Mormons, the Democrat party would either be forced to moderate or be relegated to the lunatic fringe.

As a point of clarification, Mary is not a co-Redemptrix in Catholic church teaching. And Christ is not re-sacrificed at mass.... don’t preach untruths about a faith to which you do not belong. Either you are lying or ignorant, hard to say which is worse. “Some Catholic writers” is not the position of the church and cannot be taken as doctrine which is found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

I think that aspects of Mormon doctrine are hidden and that results in suspicion. I am a Catholic and have lovely Mormon friends, but their theology is in some ways secret.... the undergarments..and the secret ceremonies that re-baptize and marry non-mormons after death. Say what you want about Catholicism’s traditions.. there is nothing hidden.

I’ve had nothing but good interactions with Mormons, excepting Romney. They make sure excellent neighbors, and put most Christian churches to shame when it comes to charity. I do find their recent marketing ploy to claim the Christian name disconcerting at least and disingenuous at most. They fall far outside any orthodox understanding of the Christian faith and historically opposed Christian churches (with some valid reasons); however, the modern Mormon establishment has proven itself capable of respecting the American principle of pluralism and that’s enough for me.

Islam’s insistence on ideological supremacy and conquest make it impossible to be reconciled with a free society. It presents a quandary for any form of government except a theocracy. The leftist’s crass alliance with Islam is solely based on using them as agents of social disruption. They can ignore or disavow any principle as long as it sates their lust for power. It’s not about winning hearts and minds; it’s about destroying their enemies. Despite their lofty rhetoric about human rights, they desire to set society back toward totalitarianism and relegate the vulnerable to chattel status.

Who said that? I respect and admire Mary. I do not go beyond that, and I am perfectly comfortable with that stance. If others want to go beyond that, that’s on them. They will have to sort that out at the great white throne.
Have a nice eternity bro. I know I will. 👍🇵🇭🇮🇱
